This has got to be some sort of a joke, no body can stay this bad and have this thick of skin, knowing everyone thinks he is a joke. Sam's stories work by frustrating expectations
This is indeed a bizarre stiry that someone like Artaud could have written and must be read within a frame of reference provide by the theater of cruely. Each story Sam writes is cast in a mode where cruelty and pleasure are inextricably intertwined. They must be read not as erotic pieces (they are by no means erotic or for than matter "delightful" writing)but as incitements to action. Their content is as unwholesome as their mode is effective: sam does get a hearing and therein lies his success.
