Reed's wife sued him for divorce, got full custody of their children and half of his assets including half of his company. He was spurned by his parents because they loved their daughter-in-law and their grandchildren. He was fired from his job working for the Senator due to his poor morals plus the Senator was sued by the injured party for fomenting a place where his paid campaign worker harassed and seduced one of the unpaid campaign workers. Of course, nothing was obtained in the lawsuit but it was out there and caused the Senator to resign from the campaign (this is a farce, even as I write I remember that politicians have no shame and will never drop out (see David Vitter). Reed blames his lover since he could not reach her husband and cursed her out, reviled her for what she was. She had a psychotic break and lost it, was confined to a mental institution for the rest of her life because she had no memory about anything and could barely clothe and feed herself, also she did not recognize any of her relatives ever again. Reed thought about suicide but did not even make an attempt as we know that arrogant bastards like that just look forward to the next conquest. He was later shot by a jealous husband who caught him "in the saddle" so to speak. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT.
What makes a cheater a cheater is the lack of a sense of culpability. Somehow, someway, the cheater is the victim! In the case of the wife, so often it's supposedly hubby's fault that he didn't "fight" for her or he was always working, or he didn't take enough time to constantly woo her, but never is it the cheater's fault. If ANY of the above were really true, the decent thing for the cheater to do (rather than cheating) would be to dissolve the marriage so both parties can get a fresh start, but oh, no, can't do that! It's more fun to sneak, hide, connive, lie, cheat,.... ANYTHING but the right thing. I HATE CHEATERS! and the morons who take them back. But then again, that's as it should be.....If someone who's been married 15 or more years feels that they simply MUST take the cheater back, then they deserve the pain that is definitely forthcoming.
Another point; FORGIVENESS! Just because you "forgive" someone, it doesn't necessarily mean you have to STAY with them. For example, a woman can "forgive" a rapist for raping her but what sane person would expect that same woman to forge a relationship with the rapist? I can forgive my cheating wife but still opt for divorce because I can't see the two of us spending our remaining years in suspicion and doubt and anger and resentment. It makes infinitely more sense to make a clean break, for both parties!

"We should'nt WASTE those 15 years"...... My answer to that is that the cheater should have thought about that before the scumbag cheated. (1) Children are more resilient than we give them credit for and will come out alright and (2) adding more unhappy, future years to the 15 "wasted" years doesn't sound very appealing to me.

She should be told, and know exactly why her home broke up. Maybe you keep it quiet with little children, but she is almost an adult. Too many stories have the betrayed saying things like "I'll let you tell parents/kids etc. what you want, just don't blame me."

I have read a lot of stories on Literotica and this is the first one I have ever read that had real feelings in it. Yes, It had sex (but just enough to make you read forward.) I know Shelly was so very wrong and she got exactly what she deserved in the end. But what got me was the feeling's going on between Jerry and Shelly. I was sure glad it didn't turn out to be another cuckold stories with graphic descriptions of some black guy pushing his "BIG FAT" cock in the sweet wife as the husband watched.

I have probably read almost all of your stories and I find them to be pretty damn good. However, you have this innate habit of cutting the story short of any results of the consequences, what's up with that ? Jerry offers to obtain and cover costs for the most heinous shark lawyer available for Tina if Tina desires to divorce (shit-can) Reed.
Now for a whopper twist; due to Shelly feeling poorly beyond emotional issues she seeks doctors care, tests are run, that trigger a CDC action placing her into quarantine after discovering new serious strains of STD(s) that Reed gave her who is also now forced into quarantine, miraculously Tina is STD free.... This kills all Shelly and Reed's attempts to gain any amount of child custody. Due to CDC the tryst couple's actions are now public record and the tabloid news furthers community rejection of the two. Two of Reed's widow clients find they too have the same STD's. Reeds business crumbles forcing him to sell his business at a big loss and run for cover - Jerry buys the business as an investment via an anonymous shadow company - Tina becomes company president, Jerry discretely rebuilds Tina's company to being very profitable.
C, you could have Tina become smitten with Jerry - with romantic progress but that really will fantasize this story beyond plausible.
