for quite a while now. Count on DG Hear to turn that around. A new idea, well crafted, complete with some suspense leaves us anxious for the next chapter. As always, it's a great day when you have a new DG Hear story to read.

Why such stupidity?

I can't fault your story craftsmanship, or your writing. I do ask though, where do you come up with such stupid characters? I find it hard to believe that a man could act in such an ignorant way. Kinda seems like he doesn't really love anyone but his own self righteous image of who he thinks he is. What kind of a man cannot love a child whose conception was caused by his own selfish desires and actions. I think I'd call him a damned hypocrite and a bigot
as well. If you are going to add more to this story, it might be great if Julie finds a real man whose love for her is not so shallow.

Is it Iraq or is it Kuwait? What the needs to be rebuilt in Kuwait - they have plenty of money. Unless this is supposed to set just after Gulf War I why even bother saying Kuwait?

I wish that you would take the time to create more complex characters. In most of your stories that I've read I always come back with the impression that all of your characters are one dimensional. I would rather see you throttle down your output and read something with a little more meat.

I like most of your stories, DG, but this one is stupid. Oh, why do I bother, it's in the LW cat! lol I prefer your romances, makes me all warm & mushy, sometimes even teary-eyed. Anyway, for this story, why didn't she take the morning after pill if he/she/they were so worried about conception? Both of them are lacking in grey matter. Honestly ....I think

It's about time someone covered the other side of swapping. The regrets after the heat of the moment.
I know that many people do it, but I wonder just how much they actually love each other. Most that do it will tell you that it's only sex. You just leave the emotion and feeling out of it. Sounds simple enough, right? But what if? in an instance everything changed? No, I think that sometimes we need to hear the other side

What I liked about this story is that it hit me from out of the blue. Actually, the reality of this story felt strangely real in my opinion.... I hope this is not something this person has been involved in. As much fun as it is to talk about it's equally important to realize the consequences of your actions.... Eventually your dick will go down. Reality will set in. Then you will be left with the mental picture of some person beside you having sex with someone you DO love. You might can take the emotion out of the sex on your part...but can you take the emotion out of the connection to your spouse or loved one? I think it would be very hard....I have to say that I beg to differ the part someone calls the characters stupid...

In this story the characters are not stupid but what they did was stupid. They are actually very human.
I am very glad that someone touched on the regrets to swapping. It's something I also have found curious...and amazingly like the author said there is very little written on the adverse issues it can cause. I thought it was very well written. Especially the part defining the emotion of regret.

Asshole Husband

Great story as ususl, well worth the top score. Immature husband needs to face his consequences and support his wife as a loving husband and father. He got her pregnant with another man's cock. It was his lack of judgement which began the swap. *****

Only a real asshole would ask a mother to choose between her child and him. It's not really the wfe's fault - it's not like she had an affair and betrayed him. My resolution for the wife would be for her to find another man who really loves her. When you love someone, doesn't that mean you want only the best for that person? Husband is selfish and wife should come to see that. When he finally understands what he has done and asks for forgiveness, perhaps there should be some resistance on her part. Does she really want such a self centred prick for a husband. *****

In real life, I never knew my father (asshole American soldier who was in Canada for cold war construction), so my ideas about owning up to what you have done has a bitter flavour. DG HEAR, thanks for a real good read.

Well now, you have stirred a fire.

Hubby here is made to be the one that created then ran from the problem. That is good if you are a husband basher. Let's take the story a bit at a time. At what point in the adventure did the wife ever say no stop? At what point did the wife ever say no I wont fuck that guy? At what point did she demand the use of a condom knowing she couldb be impregnated? So let's not blame the husband for the situation, it was a two way street and they both traveled it. I agree with the husband, I would not raise another man's child, correction, I would not pay for raising another man's child eve if I was totally in love with the woman! He gave the wife the opportunity to give up the bastard, that is a correct term, she refused as is her choice. Nor did she chose to abort the child knowing another man could be the father. Now she refuses on the birth certificate to name the father, and prevented the husband from getting child support for the child. I am sorry but if she is in debt for another man's child her foolish pride in not getting child support from him is plain stupid! You say it was his foolish pride to leave her, well I tell you it was her foolish pride that compounded one thing into another ending in her not having the money to pay her bills. Put another way stupid people do stupid things. These two are very stupid. To blame swinging on this isnt realistic. They were not swinging they were drunk and stupid. I really liked the line about the latina living with the father of her kids but not wanting to marry because she doesnt want the commitment. That one almost got the sick laffing. Do I feel sorry about the wife with the little girl, no I dont. Do I wish she had some brains and handled it differently, hell yes I do. Do I think the exhusband is totally to blame and is responsible for his exwife's problems, no I dont. Does he need to grow up and suck it in and get on with his life hell yes I think he does. Should he be sending payments to the exwife, only if they are gifts acccepted as such with no consideration as child support payments. Most support agencies now require the mother to state the name of the father so the state can go after them for support. I find it kind of funny them gave her any support and would imagine she would get more if she named the father. Chosing to live along not with her family cost her more than she can afford, another pride choice. To bring the child to her exhusbands and for the parents and family, his, to treat the child as a grandchild is very stupid and he is right a betrayal of him and a manipulation of the family by his exwife. It would have been a much better story that way if the husband had known he was sterile and the wife and he chose someone to impregnate her for kids. The couple is divorced, he told her what she needed to do in order to stay married, she considered her options and chose door number 2. Sorry folks this story is over. (As an aside, how does the exwife, tell the exhusbands lawyer to stop pursuing the other guy since he is working for the exhusband and not her? After all her exhusband invested time, money, and insurance in her pregnancy and the birthing and it is his choice whether or not to have the guy reimburse him for those expenses, not her choice.)

Stupid Is as Stupid Does

Well written story. I liked the lead in and build up to the sexy part of the story as well as the outcome. One commentor wondered where the author came up with such stupid characters. Believe me the world is filled with such individuals. People do all kinds of dumb things in the heat of passion and then when the fun wears off and reality sets in their normal attitudes set in. Shawn wanted the hot neighbor and got her, but didn't bargin for the kid by another man for letting him do his own wife. His reaction is pretty real. So will be interesting to see what the next chapters bring. Swinging requires planning and preparation by all parties before hand, rules of engagement and consideration of possible negative outcomes for everyone to have fun without post swing problems. Anyway..keep it up DG, good read.

job. What the people of America should understand is that the supposedly cute little Mexican immigrants coming to America are not the least bit interested in our welfare. They are an insidious people. They care for their own kind. Like many blacks they are trying to wipe the white race off the face of the map, they are succeeding because off fool like in your story...They are almost as prolific as Blacks when it comes to children. Once children are born they are precious regardless of their origin. The illegals and immigrants are the problem. The ultra liberal philosophy is another. People like the white couple here are just the tip of the iceberg. Unless white people realize that they are helping in the destruction of their race then all is lost. I think Shawn and Julie both messed up they never thought of using a condom and she never once thought of the STDS that Mario could be carrying inside him and i believe that afterwards Julie was still going over to Marios place to get some from him and she lied to shawn afterwards .

I deal with people in this age group all the time. Most of them still have a lot to learn about life and I believe that DG is doing a good job of portraying the process.
I wonder if they were normally practicing condom sex or subconsciously believed that she could not get pregnant.
I do believe the author missed an opportunity to follow the psychological steps of rejection of swapping.

still remember that time. its nobodys fault. but it was a bit of a chaos for a month before the emotions calmed down. it also helped us to lay off the alcohol. the threat of STDs and pregnancy gave me nightmares. hey, live to learn.

Yes this is TOTALLY the husband's fault

I dont like this story at all.. the PLOT hole is just too big. When Shawn told his family in the delivery room about the drunk wfe swapping event... and why the baby is NOT his... why didnt ANY of them say to him... hey asshole this is YOUR fault? .


SECOND Sometimes in cheating wives stories the author makes the wife actions words and behavior IS awful and digs such a hole that it makes any Reconciliation idea/ scenario to be impossible.

you reap what you sow, for both parties. Either of them could of walked away with an STD, just because he pulled out of the other man's wife, didn't make the sex any safer. Plus either of them could have set the precedent by saying, "don't come in me/her". She didn't want to murder the fetus which shouldn't be blamed for the stupidity of the couple, her choice. Don't under estimate the mental, emotional, physical and many times spiritual power of carrying a child full term. Tossing it aside afer (giving it up for adoption say) is not so easy. Sure the husband is happy...maybe, seems a lot of underlying issues here. He chose not to live with her choice, so be it.
So what if she still sees her ex-in-laws? She's probably trying to surround herself with people who can give her emotional support. Being a single parent is tough, but yet again, her choice. I don't remember reading anywhere that they were treating the kid as if it really was their grand baby, financially or other wise.
Can't blame her for not wanting a highly suspect character like Mario be involved with the child's life. Seemed she was willing to live with the financial hardship. The ex husband seemed willing to help out financially without having any real obligation to, and despite how he felt about the child.
I think this could just of easily happened to an older more established couple, especially when booze and drugs are thrown into the mix, which could skew anyone's perspective.
All in all I think they both made the choices they felt they needed to make to live with the repercussions of their actions. End of story. But I'm sure this will evolve into some convoluted drama about how she'd been cheating with Mario (the seeds of doubt have been planted) all along and Shawn did well to pack up and leave and move on with his life.

RESEARCH THE LAW BEFORE YOU WRITE

Why is it in these stories the wife is always unprotected. The fact is, most couples use birth control. In addition there is a pill called plan B. Emergency contraception. Has no one heard of this! I would have found this story much easier to stomach if Julie had taken the pill the following day. You could then have written that the pill failed to block the pregnancy. Finally, you make the main charachter a total idiot! I cannot stomach him. If I was the husband here, my first concern would be weather or not the baby was mine. I would probably tell my wife to abort the pregnancy, come what may. In addition, the action of his parents in witholding knowledge that he might be sterile was unconscionable!!!! If my parents did that to me, I WOULD NEVER SPEAK TO THEM AGAIN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One more point. Weather or not a child receives support is NOT up to the parents. Child support is an entitlement of the child. Julie and Hubby would forced by a local court order to reveal who the father is. Mario would be paying for the next eighteen years. NO SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!! Julie would have no say in the matter.

As usual the story is well written, but in this one I can't like any of the characters. Not the husband, the wife, or the parents that did not tell him he probably was sterile. Hard to stay interested in a story where you can't like anyone!

Typical fine DG Hear story

I can't remember the last time I read a bad DG Hear story. He is a master storyteller In this story,though, it's difficult to feel any sympathy for Shawn who is portrayed in your story as a pompous, selfish husband who encourages his wife to swap with letcherous friend and then is viciously critical when he think her new baby has been fathered by Mario. when she refuses to give baby up for adoption he divorces her and leaves the country.I saw no indication that any DNA tests were down to prove the baby was not his only tests apparently showing that he had low sperm count and would have difficulty conceiving child, that and his conclusion based on baby complexion, that Mario had to be father. Even a fine writer like DG is going to have trouble generating any sympathy for arrogant Shawn.

Such a sad story

WOW! I've never read such a sad story before ... thanks for sharing the downside of swinging. Most of us know in the back of our mind the undesirable possibilities that can happen. But to read about it happening is totally different.

Well-written, fun to read, but mislabeled.

This story certainly gets the dilemma award for the week! I suspect there will be some type of reconciliation as such seems to frequently happen in DGH's stories. I wish the story had been labeled "Ch. 01" so the reader would have the option to postpone reading until all four chapters were submitted. I've read all comments so far and agree with some. I think both Julie and Shawn share blame, but I feel the fault is more Shawn's than Julie's. He did start the swap and as he admitted, he let the small head rather than the large head do his thinking for him. Julie could have blamed him but didn't; she accepted what happened. By the way, Mumps does not cause male infertility unless the male is past puberty; since Shawn was a child when he had it, the chance he would be infertile from Mumps is virtually zero. Rheumatic fever does not cause damage to the testicles in the child or adult; it can damage the heart valves but it is not a known cause of male infertility. Finally, it is my understanding that if a consensual sexual act results in pregnancy, and the father is not named, in a number of states (possibly not all -- I'm not a lawyer and can't say for certain) the husband is considered the legal father of the child, even if he is not the biologic father. As another commented, the courts are interested in protecting the child and Shawn might very well have been required to support the child.

I was not surprised when I read the story to its bitter end. There is a moral law in life that "you reap as you sow". This story ought to be a loud trumpet blast to young folks who play fast and loose with immorality. I'm not being judgmental as I was young myself once, and almost as foolish. Why didn't they use the morning after pill?

I don't understand why a woman would risk pregnancy by a man who isn't her husband even if she was drunk. Surely she knew she could get pregnant? We are all responsible for our own actions. If Maria had gotten pregnant, it would be Shawn's responsibility. It was Julie's responsibility to not get pregnant. Yes, I think Shawn was an asshole for letting this happen, but he didn't force his wife to have sex.

I do think women can't have it both ways. Either she's a mature independent woman making her own decisions, or she's subservient to her husband and obeys him. I don't think there are many of the 2nd kind of women around, and I don't think I'd really want to be married to one. So that leaves the responsibility for having sex squarely on the shoulders of those who did it. And that's Julie. Trying to blame it on Shawn is acting like Julie doesn't have free will.

Shawn is partly responsible, but Julie has to bear most of the responsibility. She slept with another man and didn't take care of the birth control. You can't get around that. Surely when she woke up sober the first thing she would have done is go get a morning after pill. She didn't. And yes, something like carrying another man's child does often cause divorce.
