Unbelieveable Father

I don't think a father would leave his family because he has cancer! Of course, without that the plot falls apart. The whole trial was not believable either. If Danny's sister killed just to frame Crystal, then why would she confess?

of course the father would leave if he had cancer. it is a battle some need to fight on their own thinking they can make it through just fine. i love the story but the confession in the end seems hastely put together. why would she confess that easily on the stand?
