This is all well and good, but the marriage was breaking down because your wife didn't tell you what you were doing wrong she let you become this person. Okay you got a bit obsessed I do as well BUT I tell my wife what I'm doing and she tells me what she is doing. although she doesn't read any of these stories she knows about them and we actually laugh about some of them. But if my wife started doing all the things your wife did I too would question her about not talking to me. men in general can be so thick sometimes and often it's the woman who is the smart one and can tell us men what we are doing wrong. But again I probably would not acuse my wife of cheating but we would have a serious discussion about what was happening.

Fun but confused
Your story was fun, I agree about your assessment of many of the so-called loving wives. However, you never explained (at least to my satisfaction) why the multiple accounts, hiding, being unresponsive...
Why did she get mad when he first asked? You gave her the characteristics of someone hiding something, then she just shows him all of it. My first reaction would be, she's not showing me the one that counts.

The 1ste comment said that trust is based on confidence and a sincere believe in yourself and wife. I wouldn't like to count the cases where the husband/wife was all that : trusting, confident and believed the other partner was all he/she expected but turned out to be anything but. So I agree, the wife made the mistake of shutting him out like she did. That simply takes away trust and believe and, therefore, confidence.

Secrets
There is a reason to hide them. And she definitely is hiding something. If she is REALLY just talking to her 'friends' about topics that don't interest hubby, then;
1. Why are all these innocent 'friends' almost exclusively men?
2. Why does she have so many e-mails? Yes, she showed him some emails, but seeing as he has already discovered that she had secret e-mail addresses, how does he know she doesn't have more, that she didn't disclose, and that he never discovered? If they are all 'innocent' conversations, then why the password protected secret e-mails?
3. If they are harmless conversations, why did she ALWAYS hide them from him, and shut the computer down whenever he entered the room? Why did she deny she was doing anything and say 'It's nothing, it's nobody' any time he asked what she was doing? If everything she was doing was harmless, then WHY NOT tell him about it, when he tried to communicate and asked? Why all the cloak and dagger stuff? Why not tell him, and include him, and let HIM decide if he wanted to join in the conversations? Harmless chatting doesn't require secrecy and denials, however cheating does!
4. When he asked about her friends, and tried to make the effort to join her, why did she IMMEDIATELY shut him down. Why so defensive? Why not include him when he finally showed an interest?
5. The phone calls. 'It's nothing, dear'. Then why not tell him who was calling? Again, innocence doesn't requie secrecy, but deceit does!
6. All women want their men to be more romantic, but when he did that, she again shut him down, and became angry. Why was she denying him sex? A guilty conscience can be a pain in the ass!
Maybe the whole thing was a huge misunderstanding, but he had EVERY right to be suspicious of her actions. He had EVERY right to check up on her, when she was acting so distant and defensive, when she was displaying many characteristics of someone that WAS cheating! She might have been innocent, but her actions suggested otherwise, so he was well within his rights as a husband to question those actions.
Your forgot, the call, to her Lover, telling him that they can resume their relationship he will think the baby is his for sure....

Great story for those paranoid
For those so deeply paranoid, save this for future reading, in fact read it and re-read it more than you take aspirin or Tylenol for headaches. The add to this story, for those so deeply paranoid would have been his quiet hiring of an IT specialist, which would mean installing password tracking on the computer and other browser recording software all hidden of course. Lets go farther and drastic, sit down with her and offer a glass of wine, yes the roofied drinks, while she is knocked out, her cell phone is cloned, txts, emails and phone numbers are copied. you take the opportunity while she is unconscious to check her car for additional phones, once that is done, your tech IT installs a GPS, voice recorder in the car, the house is wired for video and sound in all places that would be private. Nothing is left to chance. When she awakens to a head ache, you blame it on her excess with 2 or 3 empty wine bottles and of course you play along with your headache too. Now the clincher, after all that money, you find out her emails are innocent, her phone calls are innocent and her day is routine, there is no cheating, no secret rendezvous with other men, just simply a hard working wife trying to make it to the top of her profession. The reality, if she ever found out to what extend you did to find out those secrets, the next thing is a wooden table and on each side sits both of you with your own lawyers. ITS CALLED DIVORCE. Lets face it, you either accept the marriage or you don't. its not play ground romance anymore. he does not police her vows or pledge to the marriage, and she does not police his either. Its about trust, and that is the hardest to give away. People want to burn someone before you get burnt, well, that is life in marriage. If you were to do what I listed, even hire a PI to follow and record her day, there is no trust and without it there is no marriage. Get a divorce and if the relationship stands, just become friends with benefits. Great story, put the revenge or want revenge aside, open up communication and work on the marriage. If its true she has eyes on someone else, get out before you risk a lot financially and of course while you are still young.

Reading these stories have become an obsession with me. I always go to the LW section first and scan the titles and descriptions for keys. He's a losing asshole !
In many ways, women are like everyone else. They respond to your actions, your positiveness, your strengths as a leader, a powerful figure whom they admire and look up to, someone who they can't fail to respect, who would die with embarrassment at the mere thought of wronging you on any issue. It is you who sets the pace of the relationship, not them. Show them that in every area you are negative, non decisive, not in control etc, the message they will get is that you are weak and can be messed with, hence she will become more reliant on the opinions and influence of others leading to a non aligned relationship with others instead of you. It follows, that before long she will soon adopt the spirit of the girls night brigade and then your fucked and will end up with a story which could be told here. You don't need to be dominant to avoid this, just be the animalistic man you were born to be and let it flow. Everyone responds to everything you show them and form an opinion of you accordingly,.
