Some Studies Done
You might want to look into some studies done on sexual activity rates of males vs females while in university.
I used to think like you (and i suppose, like many others believed the sterotypes) that males were just more horny then females.
Yet studies done indicate that the percentages of females that are sexually active, or have been sexually active in university are higher then the percentage of males.
There are different ways one might interpret the data that comes out of this survey, but i encourage you to look up these studies and make up your own mind.

I have read different articles and looked this issue up myself wondering because most time the hornier women speak up on the issue and it seems like its a 50/50 with levels of horniness, however as you said almost any guy is willing to have casual sex with a decent looking woman while its certainly the exact opposite with woman, not saying that it applys to all just I'd wager the amount of men saving themselves for marriage would equal the number of woman willing to have casual sex with men. Pardon my spelling.

That "women have just as high a sex drive as men", it just isn't true. If it were true, no-one would ever be overweight, we'd get too much exercise fucking each other silly, and no-one would learn anything in high school, it would be just a 4 year long orgy. Women don't want to admet it, but it obvious.

I'm sorry, but it's thinking like this that still keeps men and women from respecting each others differences while still being sexual equals. Men are not hornier than women. If they were, then the human race would have a very serious problem and the world wouldn't be overpopulated (to the commenter below, being overweight is not simply symptomatic of an unsatisfying sex life due to repression. You're neglecting the fact that even a horny woman has a male dominated society (and her fellow woman) drilling into her from the time she's old enough to know what sex is, that she's supposed to pick and choose and wait for sex. I would even venture to say that women are hornier, because they have to be more discriminatory when choosing a partner, whether because of the biological imperative or the societal double standard that labels them slutty if they indulge themselves. Women may attach love and sex more readily than men (again that might be biology talking), they may even hold off on sex until marriage or because of what others might think of them, but that damn sure doesn't mean that they don't feel as strong an urge to have sex as their male counterparts. The fact that women are predominantly seen working in the sex industry doesn't prove anything other than the fact that men have been encouraged to view women as disposable sexual objects. The ideology that men are hornier is the very reason why women are more likely to be objectified in such a way. It's nothing more than a paltry excuse, one that puts men in a corner too, because they believe and allow themselves to be labeled as the hornier sex, able to completely separate feeling from the act (and if that were true men wouldn't seek love or get married). And yes in case you couldn't tell, I am a woman.

you're arguing that the sun comes up in the morn. of course men are hornier- thats why women get raped. it's usually bs that the guy wants to degrade women, though many rapists are more animalistic (horny) than other men. i would almost dread going through puberty again. can't u men remember being so horny u thought u were going to implode and explode at the same time. at times i just felt i would die if i didn't screw something, and that was before i had ever even screwed anything.why do u think young bulls rare up on other bulls (no libs- their not gay) and male dogs hump peoples legs. u dont see females backing up to rub (but a cow moose in heat can get pretty brazen).

If nothing else, the evidence (anecdotal though it is) of "Lesbian Bed Death" supports the argument, as does the decline in frequency of intercourse between married men and women over time. It's almost impossible to imagine "gay male bed death."

I agree wholeheartedly. Before I married, I can easily say that the women I dated were never as in to sex as I still am. They never were as horny as me.
