Stupid slut got off too easy ...
as usual, the slut wife gets off with few consequences. This whore deserves to never see the 46th birthday. Such a waste. Husband's actions were to tame for this situation - that makes it unrealistic in nature. Thanks for the "consequence story" anyway - author!
Actually she won
The lady in question wanted to control her life. Granted it was a sacrifical way to control, but she did have control for at least an afternoon.
In the end the circumstances of the way she betrayed her husband meant that she should not have been surprised at his response to her actions.
husband should've beat lover ass
that the only thing about your stories i dislike, you weak on revenge.
Superb
Very well crafted with strong emotional content -- the strongest I've read to date in Literotica. Far better edited than most stories in here, with just one inconsequential blip. Superb.
blah, blah, blah
formula, formula, formula... nothing new, no risk to the story, just what the wife haters want. Great scores, blah stories.
I think this plot was a little forced . . .
I can see how the problems with Jeff and Samantha might develop like this, but the idea that the relationship would simply go to Hell without some attempt earlier in the game to communicate better is difficult for me to accept. I don't understand why Jeff gave up so easily each time his wife would snap at him, or try to withdraw from him. Surely he would know that her behavior was not right. It sounds to me as if she was experiencing depression, maybe the stress of her job and expectation that she would translate her work at home was really getting to her. She indicated she loved that Jeff never placed work above his family; couldn't she see that was what she was doing? No counseling or other attempts to salvage the marriage (I'm implying well before the adultery). I recall an incident where I had a fight with my wife and I knew in my heart she was wrong (she was too focused on her work) and I just told her, "Come home now to talk to me or we are getting a divorce." She left in the middle of work and came right home -- such never happened again, BTW -- sometimes it takes a shock to straighten these issues out and get the communication going, kind of similar to hitting the starter solenoid with a hammer and voila, the engine starts! I do enjoy your stories and please keep writing.
Great Read
I Love a Happy Ending.
Good story; RE:Jeff's immature reaction
when you click on the index the sub heading says:
The marriage had drifted and so does she...
Maybe someone can help me out here? what story is that refering to? Because it sure as shit dont relate to this one.
The wife did NOT drift. She wanted to shut it down. Her gross over reactions are connected to something about her or the marriage.... which are never really explored. Sure we know that sam is shallow hateful and cold but why?
The Big blow up about sex and Jeff 's reaction is well done. To some it may seem like Jeff over reacted... she was dead tired working on BIG project/deadline... she wasnt in the mood. Jeff is off sulking like a little boy.
But if you re-read that part... the wife openly admits she was NOT interested in ANY emotional initimacy with him. THAT rejection of Jeff and their whole family life had been going on for weeks / months.
Thus when Jeff gets his hand slapped away and she is screaming at him in the middle of the night... Jeff really is NOT over reacting. Jeff thinks this is Total rejection ... and you know what ? He is 100% correct. Most men cannot handle the emotional rejection and doesnt know HOW to talk about it... and is fearful Sam will freak out AGAIN if he does decide one day to try and talk to her.
Indeed Sam's fierce mentally ill reaction to the idea of a small family Birthday party for her 40th birthday certainly told Jeff... Fuck you its over.
I have a best friend whom I have known since 5th grade
(lets call him JIM). He was best man at my wedding.. and has been married almost as long as I. His wife is SUPER smart with 2 Masters degrees. They both decided that JIM should be the stay at home dad.
This caused intense resentment with JIM's wife even though she said she could not spend the next 3 years changing nasty Diapers. JIM saw it had been 2-3 months since they had sex. He wanted to to talk to her about
it... and she screamed " GO FIND A GOD DAMN WHORE....!!! I am not interested in sex with you."
from that day on for the next 10 years he never slept in the same bed with her. A few days later Jim's wife thought that something might be wrong... got a clue and mumbled some sort of apology.
For JIM it made no difference. His wife's apology wasnt real. She new she did something wrong but she didnt really know what... For Jim it was about the whole loss of intimacy.
JIM ...like Jeff in this story... ever got over it.JIM never made a sexual move or suggestion and would only have sex when she wanted it.
Revenge? This is consequence
I have to say those who do not understand the word consequence should look it up. The husband exacted as much revenge as the law allows. If you don't like that change the law or move to a country that cares. North American countries don't care. No fault divorce was invented to protect the guilty. And make lawyers rich. The consequence this slut has to endure are secondary as they are unintentional. Her family finds out by mistake. He asks for a divorce which in the uncivilized country in which he and I live, is all he can do. As for the one commenter that says this is only for the woman haters out there. I think you need to get a life. I would be more likely to seek revenge against a male cheater than I would a female one. That is a bi-product of the society I was brought up in. As it is there is no revenge here only consequences of action. All the actions are her's so who do you think should bare the consequences? Or are you a man hater and see female infidelity as woman's liberation? All cheaters everywhere should be dealt with in harsher terms then are laws allow. And that is why there is so much more cheating going on. The law protects the guilty.
Interesting
Seemed like it was a troubled marriage that would have ended in divorce even without an affair tbh. Wish that instead of always thinking about talking to her husband or making up that she had actually done so, but alas she didn't. For her to do this on a day that is a time for family and friends was a brain dead move and feel sorry for her family for having to suffer for her decision, but guess things worked out in the end. Jeff could have also done more to save the marriage, but at least he didn't do anything that actually killed it, other than going through with the divorce and not talking to Sam which is understandable. Look forward to your future works.
Nice Fastball over the plate.
I was expecting something fancy and just watched it go past.
It is interesting how people can recognize that second degree murder coupled to temporary insanity is a possible course of action. But they forget that man do no harm to women even thought the women harm them emotionally....
Basically why should I go through all that emotional pain, perform a deed that will give me more emotional pain, and then go to jail for 20 years. Sorry I'll get out of the game were Jeff did.
Nice to start the day with a Consequence Story! Thanks!
A sad, sad story
This story as well plotted and writen as only the celt can craft, really wasted about a page and a half as the marriage he depicted was well & truly over way before Sam's affair with Harris. A wife/mother that entirely withdraws from the family & shows no interest in sexual intercourse with her husband even after her hard work and incredible hours could no longer be used as an excuse to deny her love & affection is thru with her marriage. I believe she should have been grateful that Jeff finally took it upon himself to put it out of its misery. Thanks for your time & effort in writing it for our enjoyment.

Wonderful, wonderful,wonderful
What is best is the insight celt gives us into a woman's mind and her
reasoning as to why she did what she did. It is a well known phenomenon that women around forty are particularly vulnerable to an affair because they
want the rush of first infatuation as well as the affirmation that they are still
sexy and desirable. You nailed it. celt
Seeing is beliving
A frind of ours found out his wife had a short affair with a Dr. she worked with. The Dr. wife had him followed by private detective with audio and video evidence. He was also in long turn affair with someone else and both woman were exposed. Our friend told us later he could have gotten over it but he watched video and listened to the tapes and couldn't let it go. He met someone new later and is happy but wished for a long time he hadn't watched and listened to the tapes. His ex was truly sorry and had broken affair off after a couple of times but it was too late. Dr. lost everything and moved across country to keep his license. The ones it hurt the most were the children in the three family's. Cheating can turn ugly very quickly, and the thrill of it is gone with just the pain. Thanks for great story.
Real life
Excellent story. The story flows very naturally. There is one paragraph where Harris and Jeff's names are switched, but that is easily fixed. The wife is caught while people who care about her try to do something thoughtful and loving. Her own selfishness and lust give her away. A very different story might have had the sister interrupting the lovers early on and forcing a decision. In any case, Jeff's reactions are right on target for a proud man.
The Best
Anybody here that does not think writer is one of the best -if not the best ---
A very well contructed story!
I liked the way the infidelity was discovered. Too many times the cheater was inadvertently heard on the phone, a suspicious pair of underwear was found in the laundry, the spouse came home early or any one of a number of all too common themes. Count on thecelt to tell one of his stories and add something new to it. Thanks for sharing it!
Ouch!
Excellent writing. A story dark, but riveting. Outstanding work.

Why no reconciliation?
A lot of people will say, "It was just that one time. Why couldn't they reconcile?" The adultery was just the trigger. The lack of affection and intimacy at home, the disinterest in her husband and her children, and the lack of commitment to a successful family life including her roles of wife and mother were what really killed this marriage. And those do not get forgiven.
Thanks to thecelt for well-told, well-crafted story.
Thanks for a great story!!
For me the thing that makes the the Celt's stories so enjoyable is that the confrontation scenes are so well written. The Celt describes the emotions of the "cheater" and the "cheated upon" thoroughly and effectively throughout these stories. Even though the reader knows that there is going to be a "hard fall" at the end, it is fascinating to see how the Celt takes us there. Like many of the previous comments indicate, this marriage was probably over well before the wife's affair took place. The wife wanted out but just didn't know it. The grass is just always greener sometimes. This was another very good "Consequences" story! It's always enjoyable to see a Celt story come up on the board.
Sad but well written story
Once again the Celt comes up with a great story of what NOT to do when having marriage problems. Even an old romantic like me could not forgive the wife for what she did. But more importantly than the act itself is what happend before that. All the put downs, all the time away from the family, the marriage was effectively over a year ago. The wife just went through the motions. The husband did the right thing in cutting his loses. I just hope he finds someone to love and respect him unlike the ex-wife who may moan about her life and the fact her ex-husband doesn't talk to her anymore but as the saying goes, she made her made and she is lying in it.
Thanks
You are one of the few authors that I will read the story as soon as i see the name. Thanks for the entertainment. Mike from Texas
Well done
I think the story was good and well written but She and harris should have been strung together by a rope in the town square to rot it wasnt all Jeffs fault he even tried to get her to have sex in bed but she just pushed him away and she ust let her job over rule her and the Law firm that she and harris worked for should have fired both of them she was mostly at fault as he was at starting the affair.

As Noted, Sad Story, However...
... my guess is that long before five years pass, a "real" Samantha would have moved on and found somebody else. I do agree, though, with all of the other commentators who note the "sad" adjective - this is a depressing but very well written and realistic story.
I like this little morbid story
I like it because it didn't try to equivocate "forgiveness" with "decisiveness." This was purely about decision and DECISIVENESS.
It was about a woman who realized, 5 years too late, that she would never grow old and travel together with a man who once adored her, who, with all his shortcomings, likely worshiped her, loved her, and put his faith and trust in her.
The story imitated life well because in real life, for the most part, there's no wishy-washy, endless tear-jerking episodical nonsense; it is often times pain, tragedy, and FINALITY, all else good and not-so-good notwithstanding...
Well Crafted
I know of no other author who can so expertly craft a story from either the husband or wife’s point of view. This sad tale was made more compelling because it unfolds through the wife’s eyes and thoughts; and in hearing her thoughts I could not help but question if she were clinically depressed.
The end of the marriage was a foregone conclusion before the affair was ever conceived. In fact, I kept wondering how she was going to fall. Awareness of her decent into self destruction seemed just below the surface of her awareness. Because of that, I found this wife not an entirely unsympathetic character.
This woman’s behavior was so reckless that her public humiliation came as no surprise. In the end there were no winners.
As a writer, you paid careful attention was paid to the little things, like how fast her young suitor sought his own pleasure, or how the she takes charge and achieves orgasms by her own domination of the situation. She chased this young man even though outwardly he appears as the pursuer.
Even the discovery of the affair is made evermore real since it occurs because of an attempt by her husband to bring her some happiness. He sees the vacancy and sadness in her life. Certainly he had reason to leave this woman prior to learning of her affair, yet he was still hopeful, still trying to snap her out of her funk.
To have her sister used as the agent of discovery was such a masterful twist that I had to reread that sequence twice. Then it occurred to me that the women are the main actors in this story.
This was one realistic and very enjoyable tale. Thanks again for the sharing of your talent.
Thanks
Excellent as usual. Thanks very much for writing the story from the woman's perspective. I especially liked the progress of the self delusion on her part. After the months of poor behavior on wife's part, I don't think the husband could believe that this was the first time.
Well written, but....
You are one of the best writers on this site. Frankly, I'd pay to read most of your stories. The writing on this one is excellent, the characters are extremely well done and I love the originality you showed in how he found out.
I also liked the way you went inside her head and I think her thought process was very believable. So where is the "but" in all this?
It is in the way that you concluded the story. Frankly, I like reconciliation stories, but I don't demand it. What I hate is to see the person cheated upon never getting justice or happiness.
In this story the poor husband is still not over her five years later. When you're over someone, you don't continue to avoid them, they're just not worth the trouble. Then there's all the pain that the twins had to go through because their parents couldn't work together. I don't mean they have to get back together, but for the sake of the kids they can be around each other.
This man's pain is just to deep and has lasted too long. I know that this is the way it works all too often in the real world. The victim continues to suffer and the cheater doesn't seem to suffer at all, but this is story land, not the real world.
I know you don't generally do follow up stories, but I do think this one demands it... I can't quite bring myself to demand a free story, so I'll put the blame on you.
I would love to see them back together, (after she changes so this would never happen again) but at least lets see him finally get over her and find happiness. Show us that the twins end up in a good place, not with one parent refusing to speak to the other.
As I think about it, I'd love to see an original reason for reconciliation. But that's just me.
Sad but realistic
Excellent story. Very well written but with what seemed like a rather rushed ending (or is a chapter 2 in the wings?). Sad but realistic and does a great job showing how easy it is to fall into a routine where work takes the energy, time and affection one should give to their loved ones. By putting work first she had already emotionally cheated, long before she got physical with lover boy.
Please keep writing.
Cheers, AngeloM
Superb!
I've gotten spoiled by the "usual" Celt tales. I love them all! Thank you!
Harris should have been dealt some "Consequences" too. Clearly the husband made the right moves with the kids, parents, etc. Harris should have been given an 'unforgettable' lesson about HIS errors, too.
The wife cheated - therefore she didn't love her husband. Its that simple.....
compelling plot but wife is 'unknown'
I agree with the point raised by Vulcan regarding the seemingly lack of efforts to stop the quick deterioration of the relationship. I would add that I was missing some more insight from the wife’s POV especially since the story is told from her POV. She frequently admits to not knowing why she was behaving the way she did. It’s legitimate of course but makes for a less interesting character. You feel like you engage with a fait a complit -a rock is rolling down a hill –no wish or powers of its own to change anything.. As others mentioned she most likely could have been depressed -but why? Without getting into full psychological background some details about her would have made a difference.
All of the above does not take away from the usual fluent and intense narrative, the compelling plot –all the usual good qualities every one keeps enjoying (and much appreciate) in thecelt writing-thanks
Well done!
Hindsight is so good, and real time sight takes being awake! A well put together tale.
the end
she took the fall, as she had to. those things she did killed what was and affected her in ways to lead to where she went. timing and surprise birthdays were downfalls for her. as for harris, nothing to really do towards him.
at least she knew a lawyer to handle the case for her.
Consequences!
Sad story, so why did I mark it "Loved it"? Well, besides being well-written, from the cheaters point of view, very powerful images, and all the other marks of a great writer. It was the little tear that rolled down his face. She realized immediately that she had ruined everything. She had cheated on him long before the sexual act. All the intimaces shared with dufus rather than her husband. She even realized that the end began when she started bringing work home. I found no reason to doubt the husband's earlier actions, when attacked like that I wouldn't continue to try to have sex anymore either.
I don't really agree with the other commenters about a sequel. Who cares why, when, with whom, or any of the other curious details. She paid enough consequences when found out, especially when he made her expose her body after the fact. No need to go any further. I wouldn't talk to her anymore either. Been there, done that, didn't get no stinking t-shirt.
Thanks for sharing!
You are the King
You are most certainly, the most talented writer of this particular genre.
But then what...?
So what finally happened to them? I hope that Samantha suffered in silence for those five years and eventually figured out that the destructive tsuami wasn't just the affair but was also her self centeredness and her sexual rejection of Jeff long before the affair and that, in the end, she learned and gained wisdom...wisdom that helped her understand herself and that she passed on to whomever needed it. But I also hope that in the end Jeff found it in his heart to forgive her and that they found each other later in life; sad that they missed out on so much; but nevertheless in love and happy in the end.
Happy ending!!
I am happy, that Jeff didn't listning to Samanthas bullshit. A cheating wife is only sorry when she is caught!
Perhaps it was asked before...
in fact, I may have asked it (I can't remember). But what happened to them?

5 Stars
5 stars. Dwornock is the biggest cuck in the history of mankind so ignore him. The story rocks.
Amazing
Your stories are the simplest, the most realistic and most moving. No demented fantasy revenge or twisted sexual problems. Just the way people really act and the sad outcome.
Intense Story, But Very Sad Ending.
Wife seemed to be what was once called insane. She needs psychiatric help.
Excellent
No need for extreme revenge. No need to go after the asshole lover. She cheated. Everyone knew. She was sorry. For getting caught. Fuck you cheater, now you have no one. Fucking cunt.
Great job!
A five star story; extremely well done.

Another very good story
in this series, but I am confused. At the beginning, I recall that she was headed for her second meeting with Harris. Then she told us about her history with Jeff. So I was expecting her to tell us about how she got away with it the first time. She allowed Harris to walk around the mall with her. Did her friends, family, and other acquaintances never go to that mall? How stupid!
Typical of these stories
Wife is "too busy/too tired" to make love to her husband, then it's HIS fault that he gets frustrated, then his frustration becomes justification for her cheating!
Tim413, I think the first time at the mall they just shopped, it was the second time where she had "pre-shopped">
Why
would anyone want such a piece of work like her to raise his daughter. She was not a good mom, she ignored the kids as much as she ignored the husband. The first time she started putting that co-worker in her husbands place a confidante and solace she cheated. All the rest was just more draught under the boat. So, not a role model, not a wife, not a mother, just a cum-dump.
