A technical look at a Scif Fi concept?

A promising story, third person,very void of feeling and emotion. But then its between a robot and the woman it(?) works with. The friendship is there, between woman and machine but why would they try to improve. The problem I had with it was getting though the tech at the begining, so build up to climax ws weak. The last part does make up for it.
