Good Story
Always enjoy your work, Thanks.
That was different to your normal work
But still very good.
yes
a very good series
WOW! Amazing story
You always write good stories but for some reson, this one really hit me as a great story. Writing from Meg's perspective gives us an insight that we never really get. She understood why things happened but couldn't change it. How often do we wish we could go back and do it over? But we can't. Meg learned that all actions have consequences. If only we could all learn that lesson.
Great story
Wow. Very impressive in all ways. Syntax smooth. Characterization realistic. Plot well done. Entertaining check. Perfection. The romantic in me wanted her to find another love after learning her lesson but your way is better.
Good Story
Nice twist on the genre. Beauty and happiness. Very Bittersweet.
Every time
I think I have seen a writer write the perfect whore, someone comes along and tops it. Regret is a hollow self serving emotion, devoid of value. If her need for love was as strong as her regret says it is. Then see would have no need for regret. Thus her regret is hollow and only speaks of her want to not get caught. That is truly what she regrets. Her continued actions after her first time, tell of her true self. But she was write as the worst type of person from the very beginning. That it ended badly for her is only Karma. Still what did she really lose? Her sense of love was not strong enough to overcome her contempt of love. She was always a hollow person and the other real consequences in this story are for Ken her mirror person. The person she could have grown to be had she been less ugly inside. Celt as usual a great story, but I have come to expect nothing less from you. I can now reset the clock until the next time your words grace the page.
If it were anyone else . . .
I might have stopped reading your "Consequences" stories as, from my point of view, they started to look much the same. However, this wasn't written by "anyone else" and, overall, I have enjoyed your stories too much to pass up on one even if it came out much the same as the last one. WHAT A TERRIFIC SURPRISE! This was a great story told from a unique point of view for this sort of tale. Thanks once again for all the time, talent and energy you put in to entertaining we readers!
She didn't really seem to learn anything.
She lost her husband due to her need to have meaningless sex and after the divorce when she should really be trying to turn her life around for the better what does she do? She continues on that sex destructive behavior instead of trying to be happy again. In fact it seems that instead of learning from her mistakes that she is set to wallow in then just missing her ex not being there after said encounters. Hope that Ken while hurt by what Meg did didn't have an unhappy fate of misery and actually moved on as a person. Keep up the good writing and looking forward to your next story.
One of your best, The Celt
This story, and in particular the ending, is exceptionally good. She rises to the top, only to fall victim to her affair with Drake and divorce. Then she did what I think that many including myself would do, she leaves the media of the big city to start anew in a middle sized city of the Midwest. But she should be getting over the shock of her loss of Ken soon. The degree of her addiction to sex, given her early adult life history, is a bit surprising. I think that somehow, Celt, you should write a followup to this "consequence" story at some point. There could be several ways, it appears to me, that you could take the story and make it, also, exceptionally good as a continuation and conclusion.
A great story but some problems.
She said that after the phone call from her husband, she was done but Drake stiuck his dick in her mouth and she "forgets" about her husband. How? Why? Because when I'm sucking cock I don't "forget" something importent. So either her husband was importent or he wasn't. She either loved him or she didn't. It's that simple.
Another great "Consequence" story
We sincerely enjoy these series [some better than others but who can hit a home run every time?]. Well done as usual!
Another stupid broad that thinks with her cunt.
You wrote a very good story of a woman so full of herself and so egotistical she shit was golden. Trouble was her mind and ethics were pure trash. A whore is a whore. She paid bills with her cunt, that makes her a whore..........
Perhaps your best in this series so far
That was a very impressive story thecelt! It is more so because it was written within the confines of the cheat –revenge genre, and achieved two unusual things. The first: It was different and original. The second: it portrayed convincingly an un-sympathetic character.
Your achievement is impressive because you told the story from the cheater’s POV – but you did it in much more than the usual mechanical way we find in most other stories (especially when told by the cheater).. This was not the mindless cheating wife we usually see in this section. She is portrayed very credibly, with a lot of weaknesses to which she is very well aware. She berates herself for her weaknesses and her bad behaviors almost at the same time she commits those transgressions… Paradoxically, it makes her appear almost as a tragic character, not any more liked or legitimized , but perhaps more understood as a victim to her unusual beauty and the way she has always been getting her way (after using people and no consequences ever followed), until it became second nature.
When one time something of value came in her life (true love, in the form of Ken) she was simply unequipped to hold to it. She was unequipped to fight difficulty, unable to compromise or allow anything get in the way of her immediate needs or pleasures (aka Narcissism). Thus she became the victim to her own beauty (or the weaknesses it left in her). Yes, just like the fait of the original narrative of the mythological Narcissus, who was swallowed by his image in the water he loved so much to look at …
It’s perhaps your best in this series so far, not only because of the depth of the depiction of the wife’s character, but because of the way the plot develops the consequences right into the flawed person like a time bomb to explode just at the right time. And no need for anyone else to set it off on her.
So the "moral" to this story is,,,
that when you screw up a good thing in your life --- throwing away a man who loves you and with whom you've started talking about starting a family, something that will never happen with him (but it doesn't mean it can't happen with another man, if you start from scratch again and stay clean, sober, honest, etc.) --- you go on screwing strangers you pick from dark bars, not caring whether htey have disease or not, and chances are some do and you have no way of knowing, since such encounters are one-night stand's,,,, a couple times a month, and you go back to your dark, lonely place and bitch about how consequences of bad decisions is such a bitch?
I mean, come on, now@! LOL
Good
well done.
Conflicted!
Frankly, I prefer a reconciliation, although I acknowledge that in many cases it shouldn't happen. It certainly shouldn't in this story. As has been pointed out she has regrets, but has not grown or changed.
There's more than enough tragedy out there right now without having to read it in entertainment. Still, it was well written and a very interesting snap shot of life.
I was also impressed with the POV chosen, very unusual, and I suspect much harder to write. I know that there are several here who think a revenge story is a "happy ending," but revenge doesn't really leave you happy... or just perhaps happier than if you're totally screwed.
Was the husband "happy" because she could never find love again? Did that somehow help his pain? I don't think he was that shallow. Anyway, this is a small plea to write a great reconciliation story, or a story where everyone is better off in the end the next time you post.
A Cut Above
This story is much better than the typical story in this genre, and even better than most other stories by this author. Why? In my opinion, because it explores the whys, the motives and psychologies of why people do what they do. If a person only writes of the events - he went there, she did that, then he did this, etc etc - it's hard to make that interesting and do that in a new way. But exploring thoughts and motives is almost always interesting.
Sad, Thought-provoking Story
Somehow I'd like to see Meg redeem herself. Even though she's a self-admitted narcissist, somehow she seems like she's half way there. I agree with the previous comments that anonymous bar-initiated sex is a dead end. Perhaps this woman could get her shit together and get a life. I think it might even be possible with Ken - she would have to find a non-threatening way (e-mail?) of communicating with him periodically and become friends again. However, with the bio-time clock ticking, not much chance for a family. Sad story!
Genghiskhan, reg. the moral of the story
Seeing that this is good fiction, not allegorical teaching, I am not sure there is (or should be for that matter) a moral to the story... All I expect is that the story should work, and as part of it that the characters would make sense.
The moral we each draw from this and other stories to our own lives is more of a personal issue. Per this story, the consequences were what is usually called: 'natural consequences'. Let her 'blip' - character punish her in a worse way than any consequences Zar...
Her behavior at he end made total sense to me. If you are heart broken and depressed over loosing the one person you ever loved (and most likely in her case -the chance to have children and family at least in the foreseeable future).
humility is not a bad thing
meg believed she was more than she was, and paid the price.
ken at least was prbably a lot happier. a lot
^__^
Such a sad story... Very well written and developed. I enjoyed it a lot. Nice work! ^__^
Sorry but I laughed
Damn Yami everyone I see that damn ^__^ I can't help but laugh, seriously made me forget my comments for this story. Anyway keep writing celt excellent story
THE SMELL OF GREASEPAINT
doesnt lead to successful life. TK U MLJ LV NV
Why are a great number of women born with an innate desire to be used? Women are usually attracted to the "bad boy", and it seems the worse he treats them, the more they want him. Strange.
This sad story describes so many beautiful women. Women born with great beauty usually learn early on that they can get anything they want by using their looks. They only ever fall truly in love with themselves, and the more they get, the more they want. But physical beauty only lasts for so long, and when it fades all that is left is an empty hollow person desperatly clinging on to the memory of former beauty. Real beauty comes from the inside, and it always shines through, outlasting mere physical beauty. So called beautiful people are usually narcissistic and very ugly on the inside.
What a stupid cunt! You pick up the phone, call your boss and say "drake refuses to do his job unless I fuck him. Fire his ass and send someone else over to finish it." And you never be his slut.
Two Comments
First, why do these women think that their husbands won't give them rough and/or kinky sex if that is what they want/need?
Second, if she was going to retire anyway, why was this documentary so important that she would risk her marriage for it? Not that it would be right, but it would at least make more sense if this was for a career move.
Whatayouknow.... A woman who doesn't blame anyone but herself.
The question is... how could she have been so fucking stupid to have risked losing the most valuable and irreplaceable 'thing' she'd ever 'own'??
Where's the retribution on the guy who was fucking his wife? He just wimps away, after losing everything that meant something to him and lets that guy get away with destroying him? I gave you four instead of five stars because of that. (very good but incomplete story)
sexquisite.
