I enjoyed your story, but when you don't proofread and correct your writing a reader may easily get the impression that you didn't because you thought so little of it. I can understand an occasional spelling error -- though there are spellcheck programs -- but to omit whole words implies carelessness, and hurts a story's needed sense of inevitability. If YOU don't care enough about your story, why should the reader? Readers want reciprocity, the sense that you care sufficiently about them.
