I enjoyed the different approach and the fact that Ty knew Bridgit was cheating long before we, the readers, were aware that he knew. We readers were strung along thinking that Ty's surprise was something for he and Bridgit together. I love to see the offended party (in this case Ty) put her/his life back together.
To call Ty a wimp is petty. The reference to suicide shows the full impact of cheating on a person. Just as much as the children watching their mother fall to the ground only to help her back up with no emotional support. Ty knew what would hurt his wife and he did it. That he chose not to face her is understandable, after all she had been dead to him for months. Her protestations of love aside, she was a selfish human being. She did not get what she deserves but she got what the law allows. Ty got his freedom. But at a cost.
As usual some one had to call our hero a wimp. They want things that are prohibited by society to pay off acts that society no longer consider crimes. Even if due process punished the cheating wife they would still complain that she had not paid. But cheating does not cancel cheating and murder does not equate with balancing cheating. Every time someone carefully documents an affair for the court action they complain that he should have reacted, immediately which could only put him in prison.

Very good story of a woman with no concept of life
To my mind six months is to long to wait to end a farce of a marriage. She doesnt love her husband, she loves her lifestyle paid for by her husband. Once I knew her actions she would have no longer lived with me, she would be out living with her mother and sister. He was to nice, why give her the profits of the marriage. He gave her all of the accounts and home equity, why, she is only entitle to half and he gave her a home, why? I agree banking out of country, live out of country. The wife is a slut why let her even have the car she drove? This man isnt a wimp, he planned her destruction carefully, but no sex for such a long period should have told him long ago she no longer even cared for him. At least the children seem to have some sense of reality in them.
Very good story with a woman who had it all and wanted more. I'm not sure what story the Anon person was reading but when your loved one shows such disrespect for you the hurt must be very deep. I am fortunate I do know any one who is divorced. So I can say how I would react to it however suicide would probably come into my thinking whether I wanted it to or not. Anyway well writtn story Celt keep them coming.
None of the women that I have known that behaved as Bridget behaved ever had regrets. They just took the money and moved on with their lives. An "I'm so sorry I never meant to hurt you" soon-to-be-ex wife is a great fantasy but is not realistic. Women don't think that way. Great story, though - well written, smooth plot line, and Ty gets to live happily (we hope) ever after.

Her having a long term affair came out of nowhere. Until the mention of Kevin there was nothing to support this VERY important point.

Husband catches wife cheating and divorces her and she is devastated. This differs from all the other "Consequences" stories, how? I fear you are going to ride this horse forever and the same commenters will like its retelling every time you do it, as long as you change the names. This is the same tired story over and over and over and....

As usual, an excellent story of facing the consequences by The Celtic. This particular story I regard as one of his best. As in the story itself, his writing was well thought out and superbly executed. I think Celtics (total) series on "Consequences" is of prize winning quality. RAG

No one called the husband a wimp
what are you people complaining about? That anonymous poster did NOT call the husband a wimp... he said folks that attempt it are wimps... which the husband never did.
FWIW this version/ sequel to consequences is OK. Not great
Its OK. It is well written & fun to read. BUT it is lacking. The wife character seems weak superifical and shallow.
Did she really think that "Hey if I fuck other men alot for several by cheatng that will bring back my sex life with my husband?..."
Sorry that needs a LOT more explanation. Who the fuck thinks THAT?.
If Bridget had just lost inetrest in her husband because he was working too much and she was tired of being ignored and needed some "lovn'" ... thats one thing.
But the idea/rationalization given by her sister is soooo fucking outrageous sooo off the world that the author needs to explore this outrageous Idea in a lot more detail.
Maybe not quite up to the standard of previous stories.
Good though.

Good as Usual!
I liked this one because the husband didn't end up moping around. He got away and was able to take a lover of his own with him out of the country. Good for him. Bridget will be back up with her sister and their lovers the next weekend and their orgy will be even more fun because she won't have to remember mid orgasm to call home and check in with poor old Ty. Thanks again theCelt. This was another good effort!

Very Good.
While I generally enjoy this series, this one affected me more than the others. Her overwelming loss really came thru to me and even though she caused it I found it terribly sad. Good job as usual
There is what I call a sea of nonsense referring to the flood of cuckold, wantabe cuckold and "hot wife" stories which read like those Ron Jeremy porn flicks -entertaining but flat from a writing prospective. I love all of your stories because of their realism and humanity regardless of the outcome. Thanks again!

Review of Consequences...
Loved the fact that Ty continued his plans for his future which obviouly included the finalization of his marriage. He knew her family history and their character flaws. It seems that by the time he investigated his suspicions, the damage was done. The nature of the betrayal was obviouly ongoing without regard to any attempt at communicating a problem with sincerity. Even before she knew she was exposed, Ty had already informed the kids of his reasons and decision. Will she remarry? It is a possibility, but unlikely at the level she was used to. Her blatant deception would certainly be duly noted by anyone of substance. When she found out he knew, she had already been erased from his future.
Monetarily, she was taken care of for her role for most of their marriage, but he apparently was able to move most of their cash overseas. What remained for her was merely a fraction of his true net worth. Her lifestyle will suffer because the money from the house will not sustain her at her previous level. At least she has a place of her own if she watches her money.
Her kids certainly are not empathetic to her. She played him for a chump and ended up with chump change to show for it. She couldn't even excuse her actions because by the time she did return home, she was no longer of consequence to him.
If an act of revenge against the sister and two men had come into play this great work would have been that much better. LOL

Great Story
As someone else commented he moved on, she no longer mattered. She started out thinking she was doing this for him but she cut him off so even she understood that this was all about her and her wants and he didn't matter. Now without anyone but herself and her sister she will find out how shallow she has let her life become. Thanks.
Celt:This plot is becoming thread bare from overuse. Wife is married to love of her life, but just isn't getting enough bedtime action with him. Sister enters picture and convinces wife to join her in 'doormat' tour. Wife says yes, and has best of both worlds. When wife is caught, wife swears it was all a mistake (huh?). Wife didn't mean to hurt husband (really?) Husband moves on and wife is left to grieve over what might have been (if she hadn't been caught). The wife's practice of caring for her mother every other weekend, plus a few extra days now and then, would be a ruse transparent to a blind man. However, it was a nice touch not letting your readers know early on that the husband was already aware of his wife's infidelity, and that all of his actions, in reality, were his constructing a plot for his revenge against her. However, it doesn't say much for this guy's character that he so quickly enlisted his secretary to salve his wounded heart. It just makes him look more like his wife and less an injured party. The speed with which this man went from contemplating suicide to coldly calculating his revenge to planning on running off with his secretary was just stretching credibility a little too much for me. I would have thought he might be just a little gun shy to take the leap again. And that his secretary just happened to be there ready to provide her loving aid and comfort seemed to be a little too convenient. Had her name had been 'Maude' and not 'Rachael,' I wonder where the story would have gone.As for story elements, the protagonist's POV went from 3rd person to 1st to 3rd at least once. I liked most of the dialogue but didn't particularly care for the exchange between the husband and the sister-in-law.Thanks for your effort, Celt.

So the consequences are
He left and divorced her and IT HURT HER FEELINGS?? Doesn't seem like much consequences. And besides he left her with enough money to work on jump starting that nasty old sex drive for the next 20 years. Wow, talk about payback. LOL. JUST WHERE WERE THE "CONSEQUENCES" IN THIS STORY? Reminds me of a recent news story where some socialite was asking for more than $50,000 per month in spousal support from her soon to be ex; can you imagine the pain if she only got $49,000 per month; OH, THE CONSEQUENCES.

about theCelt's "consequences" stories is that they are simple in concept and short in execution, good or bad! we as readers don't suffer long!
the "logic" that a woman, married to a highly loyal and highly accomplished lawyer who is generous and caring toward her, would go have sex in groups with her cheating sister simply because the latter suggests:
"Dear sister, your low sex drive could be cured from having sex with other men other than your husband and you simply take home to him what you've learned from those men! and he won't know the difference!"
that sister, remember, was kicked to the curb because of her cheating ass... and then for that woman, that wife, to wondered at the end, why she had allowed her cheating sister to lead her astray?
we know there are a lot of stupid men and women out in the real world; but, come on, dear author!
now, if you, through the cheating bitch, had said, had had her say:
"It's all my fault; my stupidity, and no one else's, that has led me astray... now, something like THAT, I'd understand and rate the story high; but not as you had your wife character lamely lamented here....

"Dad, what's happening?"
I'm divorcing your mother because she is cheating on me. Dad, where are you going? I'm going off with my girlfriend. Dad, when did this start? -- And you think the the kid's will believe their father was innocent. The problem with all of these stories is that they really stop when they could get interesting.

Anonymous02/02/09
Well, not the best but...
This is not one of your better stories. You harped about the surprise a little too much. Also, By the time you started giving the wife's POV, I no longer cared to have it. BTW, your statement here is is not correct, "Of course, that money was outside the states and not subject to U.S. tax laws or the U.S. courts." Any money originating in the USA or foreign money earned by a US Citizen if subject to US Law, and the IRS loves to enforce it. Recently, the Swiss have stopped giving US Citizens accounts b/c of our aggressive tax policies. A better way to handle this was to say that this money was clean, taxes already paid, and mine to put wherever he wanted. Of course, his wife's attorney would find out, but since it was off-shore, good luck to her getting her hands on it.
Also, please stop with the "only man she could love" garbage. If that were actually true, she wouldn't be leaving him every weekend for others.
Thanks for writing, I really appreciate your stories. TTom

Thanks to a great talent
Being deabled and home bound. I am gald to have your work to read.I have but one request, WRITE FASTER !!! lol just kiding. thanks for the great stories you are one of the best.
The story never "promised" a terrible revenge. Quite the opposite, if anything - it went along, almost to the last possible opportunity, as it stuck to the minimal observable facts and little of the immediate feelings of the husband along with the description of the wife's behavior. In a way, the story allows us (together with both spouses) to come to the conclusion what could be the natural consequences of such a prolonged detached attitude on the wife's part, how long and how far could things erode and get thinner and thinner between them before the relations fall apart...
Of course, one can never over estimate the power of denial to blind one's mind and eyes to reality. So despite fleeting guilt -the wife does find herself shocked and remorseful (albeit, too late) when she realizes that her husband decided that he did not want to be part of her disappearing games anymore.
Given the husband’s power and wealth - could he possibly exposed his knowledge of her cheating earlier and suggest that they "work it out"? It sounds very likely. But again, It sounds like the wife’s latest cheating were only the extreme culmination of a much longer process, one which he finally decided he no longer had the fight in him to work on (especially given her cheating).
They could have both worked on improving the relations many years ago - and they both share the responsibility for not doing so.
But ‘opting out’ of the relations, the way the wife did, is never a legitimate option, no matter how low the relations deteriorated.
I loved the low, non hysterical tone of the story. Oh -and thanks for the ‘no big financial prizes for the cheater’. True,. It's not revenge but at least its fair (to the husband). I can live with that...

Lost?
She didn't lose anything, she willingly threw it all away. Glad Tyson was done with her and gave her no chance to give her version of why she did what she did. Can't believe a rational human being would think they could convince their husband that they cheated to regain their passion for sex. Hope she enjoys living the life she chose, and if that eventually becomes boring maybe her and her sister can hook their mother up with a guy and they can all have even more fun.
Can't keep his woman satisfied and then whines like a baby when she looks elsewhere. And when he has the chance to make good he wimps out. Pathetic loser. She needs to find a real man.

haha, jamesmcintyre, are you retarded? it sounds as if you're the wimp in this scenario. so, instead of leaving the wife who's been having threesomes for goin on a yr, he should forgive her and reconcile? is that what makes you a man? ahh, did you woman (or man, you could be gay) cheat on you but you were too much of a pussy to leave her?

re-gret
Re-read this and still makes the point. She stopped permitting him to even try with her, and the death of them as a marriage. Why care when she doesn't? Fortunate for him, there was salvation elsewhere in all things. Hopefully she manages the money well, at least.
"Too bad you missed it, but then you had other things more important didn't you?"
Bad. The plot was overly vague and it cut off too quickly to boot.
How much did he sell his Audi for? What did his boat bring in? How many thousands of dollars was his house? These are all teasers you brought up and there was never a payoff.
I don't know why I headed my comment with that but for some reason I've been firing all day to use those words for something, great story celt
(usual yadda about iPhone typing)
I like it, but I find it amazing that men in the real world try and give a cheating wife nothing
yet in most stories, the husband does shit to help the wife and this guy buys her another house. wow, their was a millionire in texas that had been fight his wife in court for years. she hasn't gotten a dime from him in 7 years since he filed for divorce. he paid his lawyers millions.
the day he was going to court he had a heart attack and died. he left all his money to his kids and the lover. the kids were told if they gave any money to their mom the monthly check would stop and it would all go to the lover. the kids are still getting their checks and the wife is now sueing the kids and the lover.
Kisses Amanda. But you were too generous with your score. Sorry Celt.. a private rage. I hate idiots. A person who reads the title and makes a score??????????????? Anyway I have read this before and scored before but I read your stories again and again. I like your consequences group. But maybe we should give a bit of time to the girls. Because a cheater normally doesn't cheat with the same sex. Tit for tat. Jim
yet another story were the wife is given everything, he sell the house and gives her all the money, then he buys her a house, then gives her half of everything with ni problem. Just don't see paying a cheating slut.
I just finished rereading the entire series after having read them last summer. Although I definitely liked some better than others, I am now convinced that the "Consequences" series is the best "theme" series on Literotica. I made my comments on this story because it was the last one posted on this site. Well done, a real masterpiece.
GREAT STORY
Enjoyed the hell out of it. Great no wimps ending.
Only wimps consider suicide.
Suicide is not an attempt to end a problem, it is an excuse to avoid a problem. Men face their problems head on, they don't attempt suicide.

I just love it when a plan comes together, and Ty had his plan worked out to perfection. Great story, thanks ....Rich

I'm divorcing your mother because she is cheating on me. Dad, where are you going? I'm going off with my girlfriend. Dad, when did this start? -- And you think the the kid's will believe their father was innocent. The problem with all of these stories is that they really stop when they could get interesting.
Natural consequences
What a fucking wimp
Can't keep his woman satisfied and then whines like a baby when she looks elsewhere. And when he has the chance to make good he wimps out. Pathetic loser. She needs to find a real man.

she wanted it all
...and she was left with a financial settlement and the opportunity to play without obsruction. that which she said meant so much to her, she discarded, freely. she had her thoughts and they were wrong, and everyone else was better for it
what?
haha, jamesmcintyre, are you retarded? it sounds as if you're the wimp in this scenario. so, instead of leaving the wife who's been having threesomes for goin on a yr, he should forgive her and reconcile? is that what makes you a man? ahh, did you woman (or man, you could be gay) cheat on you but you were too much of a pussy to leave her?
no !
where is "the rest of the rest of the story?
'
re-gret
Re-read this and still makes the point. She stopped permitting him to even try with her, and the death of them as a marriage. Why care when she doesn't? Fortunate for him, there was salvation elsewhere in all things. Hopefully she manages the money well, at least.
Stilted Dialogue
Example:
"Too bad you missed it, but then you had other things more important didn't you?"
Bad. The plot was overly vague and it cut off too quickly to boot.
How much did he sell his Audi for? What did his boat bring in? How many thousands of dollars was his house? These are all teasers you brought up and there was never a payoff.
I felt it was worth a fiver, a fine read. R.T.

Old folks are not sexy.
Gave it a 5***** just to spite moron Dwornock
Fucking moron Dwornock -you are irritating every reader and author here.
DWornock...I give you 1/4 star
I pity you boy. Everyone grows old, you my friend will not go graciously into that goodnight.
Such a shame. Sexy is as sexy does, it has nothing to do with age.
You dear DWornock couldn't be sexy at any age.

Pleasantly Pleased
Kisses
Kisses Amanda. But you were too generous with your score. Sorry Celt.. a private rage. I hate idiots. A person who reads the title and makes a score??????????????? Anyway I have read this before and scored before but I read your stories again and again. I like your consequences group. But maybe we should give a bit of time to the girls. Because a cheater normally doesn't cheat with the same sex. Tit for tat. Jim
AS THE OLD PUT DOWN GOES
"eat shit and die" or wish it so. TK U MLJ LV NV
I gave it a three star
yet another story were the wife is given everything, he sell the house and gives her all the money, then he buys her a house, then gives her half of everything with ni problem. Just don't see paying a cheating slut.
Great series!
I just finished rereading the entire series after having read them last summer. Although I definitely liked some better than others, I am now convinced that the "Consequences" series is the best "theme" series on Literotica. I made my comments on this story because it was the last one posted on this site. Well done, a real masterpiece.
