I had the feeling this would be bettere as a first person story told from the woman's POV. And with dialog.

I can understand her needing to get some, but why not talk to her husband about it first....get some plotline involved because except for dinner, he was hardly a factor.

In such a short story it is hard to fit in all sorts of details, such as why the husband isn't interested. The author has the makings of a good writer. Perhaps this story can serve as a basis for some follow on stories.
