Hard to find a sympathetic character here: a gullible, unfaithful ex-wife and her gloating, vindictive ex-husband.

Bravo # 55
Well-crafted.Very enjoyable!Miranda's villainy is magnified by the manner you choose to portray it.By avoiding the direct approach you avoid the dangers of preaching to the readers. The reader's insights into her lack of character come from the reactions of various characters to her rather than her own verbalizations. The lack of confrontation on the part of the husband undermines Miranda's ability to equivocate herself out of her predicament. This results in Miranda's soul being laid bare to the reader in all its grotesque perversity.Ritterburg # 55

The husband has gone out of his way to help a lyin
cheating spouse who has been played by a con artist and lost all her money. Someone said he was vindictive so I guess he identifies with the con artist instead of a loving exhusband. It's a wonderful thing when a whoring selfish wife runs off then sets herself up to lose. You dont need revenge they commit it on themselves by their own actions. This stupid broad got even less than she had coming to her. And excellent story that shows the difference between a man who loves his cheating spouse and a man who is in love with his cheating spouse. This man loved her enough to care for her from the sidelines more like a brother or father while going on and living his life. Now that he has helped her get out of the situation she got herself into he can step away with a feeling of closure. A shame some people arent mature enough to understand this.
I enjoyed this little tale of the stupidity of some married women. I think Harry went way out of his way to ease the discomfort of his ex-wife. He should have let the natural course of events take place and she would have found herself a pimp, and put her ass up for sale, one fuck at a time. Thanks for the post....Rich
I really thought that the final twist should be that the husband knows the boyfirend did not have the vascectomy he claimed, so Miranda is probably pregnant.

Excellent
A smooth and quick story of the price of adultry. I liked it a lot, thanks.
With Denham at the helm, you can clearly see each tree, then you see the whole forest taking shape, and you know - this is one author whose stories you won't allow yourself to miss! Simply too much fun, too much elegance and savvy in the narrative - why, why can't we have more authors of this quality here? (Deep and heavy sigh...)
If you want to highlight a dark figure would you paint its surroundings with similar or even darker shades? Of course not! Sounds so simple, and yet so few implement this wisdom in their stories in a way which also makes sense. Not so D. forrest!. If Miranda’s heart and mind are dark and menacing he would make them look even darker, not by spewing obscenities at her or by abducting her to become a sex slave in Africa. Instead, He would deeply humiliate her with his temporary, targeted and superficial niceties, just enough to expose the contrast in how each faired after their divorce…And yet, the key part is to show how easily she would lie, how quickly she would use her ex, and how, at the first opportunity, she would prove that her main “attractive” features have never changed. She demonstrates her nasty temper and hypocrisy as she learns about her ex relations with her sister…
Like I said what a sumptuous work…Suffice it to say, I can’t wait for follow ups, new stories – whatever…
many marriages/relationships that are successful begin with no real love or chemistry, shame Karen didn't think of this before she missed her chance, for all she knows the perfect man has just slipped away.
fantastic tale, written well, delivered excellently, cant wait to meet this Eda, something tells me she is going to be a real shock to Miranda
Fantastic!
Kill'em w/kindness!
Greener Grass
Somtimes it's not really green, just looks that way at first. Thanks for the story, well done as always.

You are the real gentleman. You slaped her but with love.
A Gentleman's Touch
Bravo. A smooth flowing tale by a gentleman who took the high road in letting her know what she really lost.
A very well written short story
