Ok so either you don't know much about female anatomy or just didn't care because your belly button is on your belly. So this line doesn't make any sense to me "Just as the wetness between Stephanie's legs started to run down her pelvis and into her bellybutton"

Well, if you think of how she is positioned, folded in half with her knees against her shoulders, then her bellybutton is below her pelvis and her juices would run down over her pelvis, over her lower belly and into her bellybutton. Yes, the sentence could have been written more clearly, but in context I think it works just fine....
