Lots of questions go unanswered!

There's no explanation about what she was doing all of those weeks when she was five or six hours between work and coming home. All's well that ends well, I guess, but there's a story lurking there. I think that you missed a great opportunity, and gave us instead, a rather boring and mundane story.

Even superstars occasionally have a bad game. I don't believe this wife for a minute. To many unexplained things, all those months of partying with her friends and ignoring her husband. When he tried to talk about it, she shut him off and got angry. This wife had no (zero) redeemable qualities for a reconciliation story. She may or may not be an actual cheater but sure is a piece of work. I know that I would dump her in a minute and move on with my life. She even knows that her actions don't pass the 'husband test' but she continues to do them. No, this was too much of a stretch bringing them back together. She does not love him, she tolerates him.

Another Thought!

Try reading this story and switching the man for the woman. The man is out 4 nights a week (school and Jazzercize) and out the fifth night 'socializing' while the wife waits home. Then when she wants to talk about it, he says that he can do what he wants, etc. How long do you think she would put up with it. Just a thought.

Good writing but the story needed work.

You wrote he to appear as a cheater.
Then you needed to show it wasnt what we were lead to believe by the writing, or there was a good set pf reasons to reconcile, or she was evil and needed burned.

But you didnt. the end just didnt match the rest of the story as part to support those 3 ending types were missing.

This was well done as far as story content. I did spot several changes in present to past tense. I still gave it 5 stars. Thanks for a well told story.

Didn't care much for the story this time around.

Wife is a piece of shit. She spends less time with her husband than she does pissing. Gone 4 nights a week for something for herself then a "girls night out" that obviously has included another man who she is rather intimate with and at the same time she is giving her husband all kinds of attitude when he asks her why she is staying out so late every time they go out on her little excursions. She didn't seem all that broken up when he left and as he said she didn't seem to be hurt by the separation at all. I can't see any reason at all to take her back and I can't see any reason at all to sit around and cry over her like a little bitch. Weak male character in this one, too bad that. Also why make him a drunk as well as a cry baby. Gave you a 2, didn't like it much.

Reading it again I see all the problems coming back. She was cheating, in her own way, and she will cheat again, kid or not. No hope here.

Unbelievable

This guy is obviously onto something. Whenever you have problems, get falling down drunk. Things don't go your way, get drunk and pass out. Nothing better to do, drink so much you can't remember what you did or how you got to where you are. Sounds like a life plan to adopt. She has a good thing going for her also. Work all day, go out and spend all your evenings exercising, drinking with your friends, dancing with other guys while smiling, holding them close, kissing them, coming home late, most of the time sauced, and tell your husband that you are doing nothing wrong and that he doesn't own you. What a pair of boneheads. First, his drinking is making a bad situation worse and everything she is doing would not pass the spouse test.

It drives me crazy when the 'you don't own me and I can do what I want' card is played. When they were married wasn't something like 'forsake all others' mentioned? No, you can't do whatever you want. You are now owned by each other and you are responsible for your actions to your spouse. If you don't agree, why did you get married? If you don't want the responsibility or the commitment, don't get married or end it now before you lose all the respect you have with your spouse. Some people are just plain stupid and can't see how their selfish actions hurt those around them.

Sorry but this story line has been done so many times that after the first paragraph I knew where it was going. Of course as we write more we begin to develop better plots and develop our characters better. Good luck.
