i've been checking back at least once a week and am happy to see more from you... don't stress too much about the block and the time in between because it's worth the wait.

Glad to see more. Jake and Daisy are well-done and I like their interactions. Should be fun when Jake's wall falls down.

Well, nice, but.......

It just seems to me that the characters are uneven, meaning both of them are so conflicted within themselves that it makes it difficult to accept the decisions they make. And then, there's the essential question of whether it is truly worth it to Daisy to marry for what any person would see as a loveless marriage of convenience, even to save the family homestead. If nothing else, it appears that there needs to be a much greater degree of communication for this marriage to begin to work on a level beyond the financial aspects.

Great Story

Great story, I can't wait for you to continue it. From the beginning my heart wouldn't stop beating fast with anticipation. Anyway, keep going.

Hmm i hope we see more of his childhood. Obviously his father's ghost is what has run most of his life. Why did jake torment her in school? What did he do it for? Was it to keep her away so she didn't see what was going on in his house maybe? I liked the floorboards squeaking upstairs..good and creepy stuff. Daisy frustrates me b/c most girls pick the crap out of every word a guy says, every look they give them. She seems to miss the signals that he gives of loving her or wanting her. She correctly interpreted his words when he was waiting for her answer and yet she still doesn't think he loves her. ANd why not just ask him? If she is so dense to the signs why not ask him how he feels. Jeez..frustrating :) Wouldn't her parents know their ranch was paid off and owned by someone else? That is the only thing that doesn't make sense. They'd know about that yet she's acting like she doesn't want them to find out.
