My heart really goes out to Fe. She doesn't want to disappoint her father, she has school and then there is her feelings for Joel. Joel loves Fe but is not emmotionally mature enough in how he is handeling the situation. There are no easy answers.
I'm so torn now...I know he was technically still drunk but part of him knew he was talking to annoying Maggie at first. Now Fe is heartbroken and I feel the same. Should I hate him or not?....torn.
I actually wasn't sure whether Joel's experience, or some part of it, would turn out to be a dream. It was a nice "fade" when he substituted Fe for Maggie. Yep, he'll pay for that. ;)
I love both Joel and Fe as characters because the plot and situation is so realistic. You made both your characters as humanly and real as possible in which you feel for them and that is a big bravo to you as a writer and your skills. I think Joel is hot and a wonderful guy but like a previous comment stated, he isn't truly emotionally capable or ready at this point to take care of a child yet and to handle that kind of responsibity, even though it is clear that he loves Fe deeply and the fact that she loves him too. I can't wait to see how this continue to unfolds.

the ultimate jerk. The story is over for me, if Felicia takes him back after this she's a fool.
