completely unrealistic storyline

the whole family needs regular counseling sessions... usually mandatory. any military org would have a psych eval on site. this story is more than UNrealistic. i'm trying to suspend my disbelief for the benefit of the story... but, my imagination can only stretch so far. where did the houses come from? why didn't danny & jess get to live there sooner?
