I am impressed with how you put this together. A wonderful job!!!
...and the tears wouldn’t stop. This is lovely, just lovely. The almost fight in the factory explains the protagonists inner demons. That is when I started feeling for the guy, and then I wanted him to succeed against difficult odds. Good symbolism throughout (cardboard name in magic marker, remodeling a house-restoring life, both main players starting over, shower comment-scary thought).
This is well worth the effort you put into it, and I thank you for writing it. If I could only stop crying.
This one is the best you have done, yet! A different take on the song and a very enjoyable well written story. I like the way he discovers what "good people" are all about. Be proud of this one!
I love the humanity and realism. People often discount the value of giving people an honest second chance to make something of their life. This was a heart warming story with some moving scenes. Keep up the good work.
I read this one slowly. Like happens when I appreciate a good painting, I was reading different stories from one moment to the next. This one is magic in the way it does that. It touched me deeply in an entirely unexpected way, and I'm a fortunate one to have read it.
Probably your best story yet. You have really come into your own. Congrat!

Well aren't you something!

This was solid exemplary work that everyone should read and you should be proud of.

Now you have caused a problem - albeit a good one.

Now I must read your other works to see if you touch us with your depth and word pictures as you did with this one.

KUDO's Authoress - You are appreciated.

If I still taught I'd like to have all the teens I worked with read this story. Be proud. You did good. Thank you.
It's sort of crazy how I suddenly seemed to care about Wade and his future.. reminds me of one of my relatives. This story just resonates with me.
Great story, one of the best.
Truly heart-warming story! Depicts the make-up of the author...Super insight into the inner workings of friendships!
GREAT work, MistressLynn...Loved it!

Reform school is not doing time, but they know and you're harassed all the time I was close to thirty when they did it for the last time they even got rough on my girlfriend ripped her handbag spilled its content on the hood of their car and... oops, she had a British diplomatic passport, the next day we went to see an assistant D.A. friend of hers, and I've never been bothered since. Yes some luck and a friend or two can change your life for the better.
Thanks for a great story Lynn.

to both redemption and friendship. Your characters come alive on the page and I can picture them easily in my mind. Wonderfully done, Lynn.
Lynn,
This was so excellent. I really enjoyed it. I like how Wade slowly began to realize he had friends and that some people can believe in you even when you don't believe in yourself.
Excellent work. Going to read more of your work.
I loved this story it shows that there are some people out there in the big wide world that are willing to give others ago in life because they believe in them no matter what they may have done or disablity or colour please lynne write somemorelike this lynne australia
I have to say this was a really wonderful, heartwarming story. I didn't expect to find it here, but I am glad I did.
What an unexpected and overwhelming surprise! every once in awhile, I discover a truly outstanding story on this site, and this is one of the most beautiful I've seen. Thank you
i didnt like it. it was boring and not what i expected at all
Thanks,
Stuck in Iraq and really needed some cheering up. Thank you. Can't wait to read more.
MistressLynn - This story must have come directly from your heart. It shows the beauty of absolute trust and love in a stranger. Such feelings and impressions only come when you see someone's heart. People make mistakes and bad choices, but that doesn't mean they can't learn from them. It's too bad the public doesn't always see that. Your story tells the way we should all act, yet seldom do. Thanks for sharing this.

Exactly what I wanted to read Mistress Lynn. Thank you. I'd write a longer comment but I think I've got a fly in my eye :)
Thanks for sharing this very entertaining story.
I really liked this. I could relate to everyone judging you and making fun of you for your past or just not knowing who you really are. I have also had a few breaks but most turned out to just use me for their gain. But this gives me hope as there are true friends out there that see who you really are.
I read this story years before and enjoyed it then. It may be the best of your stories. I'm glad you're still writing.

Well-written, gripping and enjoyable to the end. Worth five stars without a doubt.
Awesome story. Actually brought a tear to my eye... Although, I have to ask, is the old man (johnnie), the retired father of the construction guy?
I love that kind of story and you did it soo good Lynn.
Thank You!
Johnny
The life lessons in the story are tools needed by everyone
Some learn them when young
Some not until later in life
Sadly, some never do.
Beautifully told
thank you
I keep having all these sniffling problems when I read your stories.
Thank you
Thank you soo much for the story, it's beautiful...

Thank you for the story. It was interesting, well written, and had a positive message, something much different than most stories on Literotica have.

This is one of the best stories I've read on Literotica. I don't think stories can get any better. Kudos to the author for writing and sharing this masterpiece. 5 stars but really in the thousands.
There are a lot of mediocre stories on Literotica, and sometimes I wonder why I wade through so many looking for something inspiring. This is the reason. Kudos for a job superbly done. A touching and heartwarming little tale without being cloyingly sweet. Yes, it is primarily an erotica site, but a heartwarming story of redemption belongs as well. I am not in the habit of hitting 5 stars so very often, but this deserves the highest accolades. Thanks.
Great story.
A second chance for the right people often has great rewards for all parties involved.
It's truly the gift that keeps on giving.
Thanks for sharing.
