There are a lot of stories with two men who are attracted to each other but won't admit it, and a woman forming a bridge between them. In this story, Jon is a "lesbian bridge".

the situation is well done and the characters are pretty solidly built into believable people.

The one thing I wish you'd done better is the dialogue ... it comes off as written, not sounding as if someone would actually say the words.

Please DO keep writing ... it would be great for you to write about a situation you clearly remember.
