Fine Story
I have to admit that Jessie's estrategy is very risky given the behaviour in most literotica reunions! But this story is a pleasant one.
You ruin your stories by putting males down . . .
with your 'lil funnies' all throughout all your stories puta. That is one and only one way which I use to determine the gender of the writer. Another is you always portray all males as penile monsters that always think with their cock and are driven by sexual lust first and foremost.
I want to encourage you to change all that even if a bit at a time to incorporate a bit of reality into at least some stories, would make them a tolerable read.
Not good...
ANOTHER stupid man story is not a surprise from this author but The Motivations of the fiancée (Jessie) needs a lot of work. Since she knew of James serious mental and emotional Trauma and betrayal by Boobie. so WHY did she push this trip and reunion?
IF we believe Jessie's stated reason ... it is reason for them NOT to get married. She wanted James to go see Bobbi so that SHE --Jessie -- would be assured. The fact that this trip was extremely painfeul for James
... she didnt give a fuck about.
That sort of self centeredness is Not a good trait for a marriage.
Not that bad.
I had problems that Jessie was so determined that he go to the reunion. Especially when she was planning to stay home. In such a situation, a woman would have an inside contact arranged to watch the James/Bobbie reunion and report. Since that was not the case, I then expected James to find Jessie entertaining during James' absence. Her full court press to get James to go to the reunion seems very unlikely.
All that aside, it was not too terrible.
Enjoyed it a lot...
Very poignant little story, that I suspect rings true with many of us who encounter women from our pasts, with whom we've had relationships that had unhappy endings.
The device of having his current fiance demand that he attend his reunion is a little contrived, albeit necessary for the plot. In real life, I suspect that she might want him to go, but would insist on going with him. In fact, you would think that if he was as happy and proud of her (the fiance) as he is in the story, he would insist that go with him, so he could show her off to all of his old friends!
Nevertheless,a well written, enjoyable read!
I enjoyed it a alot also
Great little story. I can agree with other commentors that the story could have used more characterization of Jessie and why she insisted he go... but still did not reduce the fun read. Really enjoyed HIV's comment because it gives me a good laugh to see how predictable he is and always so bombastic about how a story cannot be good if he doesn't agree with the character's actions.
Fun story with bittersweet memories
Thanks for writing. Although it all worked out, it did seem strange that Jessie insisted he "prove" he was over Bobbie by attending the class reunion. Usually, people are much more protective over their partners. For years, I'd gotten together with an old crush every December when she came home to visit. My then new g/f let me know that that was over! Looking back, she was right & I later married that g/f. James was smart to tell Jessie everything, especially as a vendictive Bobbie may have some pictures later. Thanks again! -Ttom
Why?
Why the questions about Jessie's motivation? It is clear that she needs to have him put his past behind him to have a future with her.
The very fact that he agreed to go tells her that there is some doubt and or interest on his part which is puzzling to me and her if he was really hurt that much. Thus the pilgrimage to the past.
Lastly, if an author reveals every thought on every characters mind many stories would have no way forward or reason to be.
Humans are not always logical or predictable or infallible which is life's challenge or more as there aren't enough islands for all of us to be by ourselves all the time.
Right rascal! Good Show Woody.
Nice!
Good story, Woodmanone! My favorite story of yours is "I'm Drinking Doubles". This one wasn't quite as good as that but it was a good read. Thanks for sharing it!
wat a slut glad she drank herself to death . she realised wat she lost to late . nice one her husband cheated on her . old saying wat comes around goes around
We should grow up as we grow older
And with luck become wiser - He did she did NOT! Too bad so sad
Very nicely done thank you -
A good man cast into the wilderness doesn't stumble
The story was up to your normal high standards. However, as much as it is a trademark of sorts, in this reader's humble opinion, perhaps you might have put that last 'cliched' sentence at the beginning rather than cheat a perfect ending line to another very good story.
Chuckle - Good
Even if he didn't turn Bobbi down odds are he would have been comparing what was to what is - she lost either way.
Enjoyed it.
Thx
The **CORRECT** rebuttal to the statement
"James I love you, but if you don't go to the reunion I think we should postpone the wedding for awhile." is
"I'm sorry that after THREE YEARS you don't trust me when I tell you I'm over her. I'm sorry that after THREE YEARS you don't think I'm grown up enough to actually KNOW MY OWN MIND. I'm sorry that after THREE YEARS I've never seen what an insecure child, or manipulative bitch you really are. So yes, please give me back the engagement ring, because our wedding is 'postponed,' and so are we."
Of course, the guy in this little drama has no spine, or Jessie would never have pulled the "nuclear option." If her trust in him is that low, she should NEVER marry him. Nor should he marry her. Time to close the door on that relationship.

You are an excellent writer and I enjoyed this story.

Agree with Anon 7/17/15
If his fiancée can't take his word that he has no feelings for a past girlfriend, he should just tell her to believe him or cancel the wedding. If he gives into this, she will manipulate him like this for the rest of his life. He needs to 'balls up' and tell her that she needs to trust him or they need to part ways.
Yep
A woman who sends her fiancé off to a reunion just to test his loyalty deserves what she gets. If he was really over the ex he should have stiff-armed her at the reunion, and then dumped the conniving bitch of a fiancé when he got home. Problem solved.
