Definitely not your best work....
....but a decent build up and a good clean ending. The story worked, although stretched a few points too long, but it never evoked the emotions that your truly good stories can and do. It was a far cry however from your one from column A and one from column B mass stories that you churn out at times. Thanks for trying and writing a good story.

She did NOT make a "whopper of a mistake". This was a character test. And Shawna repeatedly Lied and failed to deal with George's anger. What changed Shawna's attitude?
Recall it was when she ran into George Twice in the same night. I mean its laughable.! THAT is what caused her to think "we were MEANT to be together!". Something that stupid and irrelvant.?
The thing is Shawna doesnt wake up and suddenly realize what she had done. Until the meetings at the nightclub and the resturant She is filled with HATE and RAGE towards George because he dared to get angry over her actions.
Recall in chapter 2 how she started to have sex with George then left him hanging with a erection. That was an Intentional act.
In some ways she was Honest: Shawna boldly stated that wants to be a submissive towards other men but she will NEVER let her own husband do that to her.
Invariably when authors get trapped by their own extreme revolting impossible stories they ALWAYS go back to Make pride / male ego.
The submissive issued is never mentioned. Shawna's cruel and inhuman sexual acts towards her husband are never mentioned. Somehow by chapter 4 George is the one who cheated and fucked up.

Just Plain Superb
It was superb as it was engaging. I waited with absolute fascination as each chapter unfolded. The characters may be flawed, they may not follow someone's idea of logic, but they were alive and took possession of our emotions. To me this was a story of hope, courage and quest for happiness.

Still Problems -- And A Fourced Recounciliation
I said it earlier and I'll say it again -- I don't mind Recounciliation, but there should be a Valid reason for itShawna was still a cheater -- She says that she'll go straight home, but takes a turn (Left-Right, whatever)and ends up in the back seat of Mel's car having sex twice with him.I told you both were playing games in which no one was going to be a winner. Shawna slept with 3 guys and George only 1(Carol). Shawna was and IS still a selfish -- She feels sorry for Mel and is upset that he's left still hard, but she leaves her own husband of 16 years on the verge of orgams. Tell me will you accept such a woman as your wife?Give me one good reason why both should stay together?If someone continues this tale -- Shawna and George will get Divorced. P.S --Shawna is like a BeastWho tasted blood and once a Beast tastes blood......There is no turning BACK

The thing that annoys me about Bob, and to be honest, why I bother reading his stories, is that every now and then, he proves himself to be a writer, not just a purveyor of sleaze. One aspect
One aspect I think you nailed on the head here is that men and women treat sex differently. He act of first cheating on him/falling, was bad, but how a man treats what happens afterwards is very different from a woman.
He cheating was painful to both of them, but what a man's normal, valid reaction to do is to shun her, not show her love. The womans reaction is more along the lines of "I fucked up. I'm hurting from this act that I have done that has hurt both of us, hold me, love me."
His withdrawing from her was exactly the wrong thing she needed at that time. The intimacy, the holding, even the sex was what a woman needs after a fight. It ain't logical, but Bob here illustrates it, that her need for intimate touch and connection and emotion was what she desperately needed from her husband, which he refused. So she sought it elsewhere, even though she loved and wanted her husband.
I'm not saying it makes sense, but it's kinda the way a woman reacts vs. how a man reacts, and Bob, you did a good job showing us this.

Some would call her a cheater...and she is; but so is he. For those who would demand retribution for her actions, well, all I can say is that it must be nice to live in such a black and white world. They both fucked up but if they love one each other, they can learn and grow stonger together.
Entertaining and Interesting Story
ufa.... No closet. There were some really deep problems here. I would say that is not for us to decide what is best for them. If they got back together again and are happy, that is what counts. Basically the truth is that the old familiar can get boring, but it is often the best.. She liked what Glen did to her, but she disliked him. That is a fascinating situation. She can end up with nothing because of this, but in this case she got very lucky. Of course, her guilt forcing her to confess is another important element that makes her different from many other women.

She screwed up - royally - as the story says, a drunken one-time infidelity MAY have been forgivable - but all night and AGAIN in the morning while speaking loving words on the phone to her husband - WOW.
And her way of showing how sorry she was and make amends was to go out and fuck 3-4 other men - how cute.
Her character is quite disclosed throughout the story - and the best solution for both of them, would be a divorce.
Getting back together is not a good idea - her goods are simply too damaged - That way she gets to fuck around and he gets another chance to find a true woman.

Very readable story
I enjoyed most of it and it pulled me through the tale. I suppose it's nice that Glen got some payback for being a predator but he was only the match for Shawna's fuse. She's a slut. That can be OK. Some women can control their inner slut and direct it toward their husband. Some realize they should never get married because they cannot control their inner slut. The problem here is that she only allows herself to be a slut with other men, NOT her husband. She is enthusiastic and out of control when she has sex with other men. But just wants nice,nice sex with her husband. She refuses to GIVE herself to her husband. She refuses to allow herself to get out of control with George. She SAYS she is only connecting to other men to give herself sexual relief BUT with all of them she has WOW out of control sex. But not for George. And she wants to keep George on the leash. No pushing me or I'd leave you. When you push I respond unhappily and coldly. There is this sexual dynamo inside and she refuses to release it to her husband. That is a bigger betrayal than the sex. Also the goodbye sex for Mel is a pure betrayal of her promise. She knows that what she said gave George the expectation that there would be no further sex. George specifically ASKS what she is going to do with her date and the answer she gave would lead anyone to expect her to go home without sex. But less than an hour after her promise she breaks it and once again is out of control. She is not a very admirable woman. It must be nice to be able to rationalize your infidelity so well. At an earlier point she is painted as so guilt ridden that she has to confess her first hookup with Glen. Not her last with Mel. She seems perfectly OK to deal with that. She's gotten a lot better at cheating with a clear conscience. I guess my point to all this is that a lot of the story is focused on creating a moral equivalence between George and Shawna's actions and I don't think there is any equivalence. He was pushed into his affair with Carol. God, how many men would tolerate a wife initiating an undesired fuck session while bragging how he was slopping around in her lover's leavings. I think most women would be unlikely to leave such a action without serious physical damage. There are limits to snotty behavior and Shawna blew right by them. So George starts up with Carol. That was actually a mild retribution. And of course Shawna LIES to him again. I didn't REALLY have sex with someone else. She is a piece of work. I wonder if they would have reconciled if George knew that she really DID have sex before raping and taunting him and about the final time with Mel. I doubt it. Shawna is trailer trash. She really has no morals and does what she wants to do without regard for consequences. George's only mistake was to avoid a divorce. Staying in the house and playing at a marriage is an idiot's solution. And he didn't even have the excuse that he "loved" her because I don't think he did for a good part of the story. Divorce and move on. Having said all that I enjoyed the story as a whole. It was well written and kept me entertained. People are flawed and that is OK as part of a story. Shawna got away with most of it. That bugs me.

The question is are you smart enough to learn from stupid. Both people were stupid and JPB outdid himself in showing that. This isn't really a comment about this story in particular,
but the genre as a whole. A bunch of these stories are about a married couple and some loser who can't get laid unless he finds someone in a vulnerable state, then gets tunnel vision and still can't get laid by more conventional means. Come on, Glen can't get laid with out booze and blackmail? Well, more harassment than blackmail, but still...

I actually felt that Shawna was a real woman in this.
She wasn't obviously a motivated slut, but she also had needs, emotions, got angry and was even a bit venal and dishonest. She also got tired.
Additionally, the husand was not made of adamant, unbending and being a Bill the Ger "Fuck her and the horse she rode in on". He WANTED to have back what he had before. But their timing was a bit off, hence the drama.
This was a good story. A very good story. I would put up with a lot less output if this was the regular result.

I don't get some of you people, you guys pick the funniest things to forgive. Most of you are like PETA people. You had people that us animals for lab testing but at the same time you use the drugs. When an animal gets killed your out for blood but at the same time you go home and cook a fat steak. Your all ways talking about forgiving people but when your the one who gets hurt, it fuck the world. so why not just get it over with and move on.

One can do nothing more than hold out prayer for a man like George. He was made to suffer great pain. His wife betrayed him in a bad way. JPB made everything whole again by the end of the story, but were this to be a real life couple, I frankly wouldn't hold out much hope for them.
There is a pathological element to Shawna. This is obvious from her submissive enjoyment of her lover's abuse. It is also evident in her continuing dishonesty throughout the story. She seems incapable of telling the truth, all the while proclaiming her all consuming love for George. Note the very telling incident at the club where the two spouses run into each other with their respective dates. Shawna declares that she has seen a revelation. She realizes all the pain she has caused. She has turned over a new leaf. She will go straight home and keep her legs together until George forgives her and they work this marriage out. She then rationalizes yet another sexual interlude before she even leaves the parking lot. This is ostensibly justified because she finds it unjust to send her lover home unfulfilled. Of course, she also manages to enjoy relieving the man immensely. Are we realistically supposed to believe that this woman is capable of marital fidelity now?
There is a reason why marriages have such a severe failure rate after infidelity. Relatively few make it for the simple reason that often the conditions that lead to the infidelity are never altered. In the case of this story, Shawna herself is the condition. George is probably going to find himself in very familiar trouble in a short while.

Okay, they had kids, that is enough to go through hell for. That being said, quick and brutal punishment is the best answer for a cheating wife and her scumbag fucker. First you make him disappear, not really hard to do if you think about it. Then you make sure she knows that you made him disappear. Then you fuck her anyway you like and she does anything you tell her to do. If she argues, you remind her. If she disobeys, she disappears. Remember, thousands of people "disappear" every year. It is not really that hard to make it happen.

Why Bother?
Who knows why they got married? Who knows why they are married? Who loves their spouse, who loves their kids? In these stories it is hard to tell if these losers ever had a clue. Loving is caring. Spousal love, and parental love are supposed to be total, not partial. That means you do not do stupid things that are hurtful to your spouse or your children. Traditional parental love is unconditional, you love your kids no matter how bad they are. Traditional spousal love is not unconditional. In fact it is very conditional. Those conditions are listed in traditional marriage vows. Broken vows are betrayals, betrayals are acts that hurt the spouse. They are not caring and they are signs of a lack of love, if not contempt for the injured spouse. Why keep on trying to get passed that? It is simple math and it doesn't add up to love.

It just kills me when I read the comments that always criticize the stories where the couple gets back together. So let's have a formula for every story. One spouse cheats, we get a description of the acts constituting the cheating (just for the erotica) then the wronged spouse kicks out the cheating spouse, and the the cheated spouse kills or severely maims the cheating spouse and the lover. Brilliant! Also, boring and predictable. The only thing I didn't like about the story was the maiming of Glen. True enough, he probably deserved it, but it really didn't add anything of substance to the story. Good work, Bob.

Bothered
that he never learned about her last time with Glen or Mel, but that's what happens in real life. She was constantly saying she "needed" him. Most marriage counsellors would tell you that was not an accurate feeling. Instead, she "wanted" him. A couple like this in real life - would they make it? Probably not bcs she seemed to enjoy sex with every man she tried. Swinging? We never knew about their finances. Would he have been destitute? If not, I'd be inclined to divorce and say no to shared custody or a liberal, scheduled time for the girls would be with him. "I'm not going to be your fucking babysitter, slut. I'll call when I'm free. If are not available, maybe they will be next time." That's easy for me to say bcs my kids were in college and beyond when my wife and I split.
