Don't know who is responsible for the paragraph spacing but it needs checking. In some places its single, others double or triple, makes for some confusion and wonder is something missing.

Lovely story and setup
Ignore the "paragraph spacing" comment. All one has to do is read the story to realize that there is nothing missing in those inconsistently spaced paragraphs. You are an excellent writer. You develop your characters, they are real people, and you have provided the spark and suspense that makes me want to read the next part. keep up the excellent work!

well worth the read
A bit slow at first in the sense it seemed to drag on forever til they kissed. I enjoyed the story and look forward to the rest of the story! Very well written and intersting.
