She was sweet girl but not that sweet. Charlie was supposed to take the hit so Barry wouldn't suffer Bobby's vengence. That's because the narrator was just bright enough to be dangerous to her stalking horse while she was riding with him, to be ridden by him. She was a little bit twisted and got caught in the egg beater of fate. Loved it.
