Delivery of a car of a specific model/color may take months in India; not in the US. No cab agents in the US would tell you they cannot send you a cab for 45 minutes. Frankly, I did not want to read further. You started well otherwise; but such blatant irritants switched me off. It does not bite to be realistic. You can construct a beautiful fantasy while still rooted in reality. I am not going to read your other stories.

The story has a good start to it. The previous anon who refuses to read beause he doesn't believe a car should take too long, or a taxi, is a fool. There are many places where taxi service is that bad (my town, for instance), and I've waited 6 weeks for a custom car delivery. Someone explain to this doofus what fiction is. At least he won't despoil your other stories with his asinine comments.
