I'm drawn to this
There is a film currently showing at the Vancouver International Film Festival called 65_RedRoses made about a young woman who has CF and has had a lung transplant. She is about 25 and looks incredibly radiant in the film, but I understand that since the film was made her body is rejecting her new lungs. I am appalled by how someone so young can be cut down. I identify strongly with this because, though I am in my 60s, I also have lungs that are slowly being digested by my immune system because of a genetic flaw that I carry. The point is that though I regret my condition, I am very grateful that I have had a long and full life and my future days are all bonus for me. The fact of these young people felled by CF, however, just stuns me with the unfairness of it all. My heart goes out to you.

Brilliant . .
A solid worthy campaign and genetic awareness post. In a way the poem is so powerful that it is a shame human attention and 'forgetting' targets your focus. It pins Every terminal illness, even Cancer. I was reminded so, of my campaign to raise awareness of mental health issues as the most common active. But think of it applied to a black child with HIV. Or numerous other conditions affecting such offspring pre age 7. Mostly for want of clean water and a good meal, in 2010. Then with both parents either deceased or other where engaged. Beyond measure . .
