I don't get it.

Why did the girl call him Uncle Dave? Why Rio? Why the sex that morning? What's wrong with having over ten grand cash? Why are your stories so short? Are you gay, Puta? (What the hell does Puta mean?) This is just a sample of what to expect if you want to write like your hero, HDK. Questions, and at least one "Puta" comment, but no explanation what a Puta is or why you are called one. Or is it Punta? Great little story from one many regard as the second best writer on Lit. (It looks like WinterFoxx may be the best!) Are we supposed to guess what the title should be? Back in The USSR? Flying? I know..."Lucy In The Sky With (Fake) Diamonds"?

Entertaining 'quickie'!

I enjoyed the story. What Beatles song? The theme fits the song "Flying Solo" by Ilse De Lange. Lyrics include;

HDK has a sick sense of humor and NOW...??? You do as well. I have always enjoyed your stories, and this one is no exception. You don't really have to change styles by the way, you were always good.

However, this one was a nice story in the HDK vein, of short snappy with a twist. Sounds like a good drink, I think I just might see what I can find to enjoy your next story.

Well thought out and written story

As always, Ohio entertains us. And like HDK he can put a kick in the tail of the story. I really hope his wife had pre-paid hotel reservations, other wise she would have been problems. You can not sleep on Copacabana Beach except on New Years morning!

timing is everything

she gets paste and he gets the money back and keeps the jewelry; and chris is in jail. At least she can made some money to support herself in Rio, for some minimal standard. A nice and deliberate way to work out the matter, and his doing well at the end, unlike her.

The cheating wife goes, but has the talent to sustain herself in Rio, certainly not at the level she'd expected. No great expense to get rid of her and he got him money back. information is power.

However, it is not a total loss. She got an education. And, she is pretty so she can find another older man to take care of her.
