This is almost too personal for me to make objective comment on. My first grand daughter is now 2 and you have pretty much captured my first reaction. Your 4th line is especially trrue. A good poem and a very good one for me

I think this is wonderful work. I felt so moved, and am happy you wrote such a fine moving piece. No grand kids, but makes me take a pause and look at my life, and worry about what kind of mother I will be.

Wow...

Just yesterday I went with my wife and daughter to see an ultrasound of my first grandchild. Seeing the face and tiny hands and then reading this poem... wow.
