When the work and school week started again, Rick was busy with clients and had to work late several nights of the week. In truth, he was avoiding Michelle again. People have a bad tendency to try and convince themselves of something by ignoring how they feel.. It drives me bonkers when it happens but people have layers of lies and mantras they use all the time. It's not bad writing, just more douche leaking out. :-D
