Definitly some humor there -
But I also suspect the "best light" is where the real humor lay - he seemed not nearly as distraught or distressed that his wife was cheating - nor did he seem overly torn up that the little nit of money he still had access to was used up so his cheating wife got none - sounds like a well executed plan to me (but for the concussion of course)
