Ben is a jackass! He is engaged but he is using Esme to get his rocks off on the side. She is in constant limbo because he keeps playing with her emotions and their hitsory. Now Esme and Barry are HOT. I am totally cheering him on and hoping she can move on and they can have a future together.

I agree. I think if Ben hadn't been her first, if she'd had another boyfriend before him, she wouldn't have thought twice about dropping him the moment she noticed Barry. She's just stuck in the mud, wanting her first time to have been with someone special, wanting the person she'd been obsessing over for YEARS to be special... it's sick but she's still trying to believe he's special.

And Ben, well.. I think sometimes you meet someone who's like water to you, and no matter that you will never want to be with them, it's tough not to want water when you're thirsty
