Just as I thought
The young lady in my life went through similar trauma. You wrote well concerning what Danielle went through. My young lady also considered the whole sordid thing to be her fault and it took a lot of work to convince her otherwise.
Stories like this are needed to educate the readers to the fact that this sort of thing occurs - more frequently than is realised, and causes terrible psychological damage.
Keep writing - you're doing a great job.

know that they have each other, the confronting of her family, or more to the point, what happens after she finds a balance is what i hope for next, things like this do not "heal" without some closure one way another, and as another peson wrote, i have expierence with a situation like this( not as a loved one , but as a friend that found out)
