I want to ask my reader fellows. I read a story 2 years ago. The plot begining is similar to Lynn's story start. The husband discovers the letter of the died lover. The lover died in accident. His wife's affair began after the childbirth. After confrontation with his wife the husband goes to a lake in the family cabin alone. He is there for a time alone. The wife goes to the cabin and the husband is on the lake in a boat. When the wife was arrived to the lakeshore he noticed her, he jumped to the lake to get suicide in the cold water. The wife withot hesitation jumped to swim in the cold water to save her husband and she rescued her unconsciouse husband. After hospital they do reconcilation........... I do not remember I read on LW Lit or SOL (storiesonline.net).
Who knows that story? Author and title?

5* first chapter leading up to a 5* second chapter that has one of the truest and most skillfully revealed insights I have ever read on this site.
I published here a story "Different Gyms Do Train The Body Better". No one commenter found that funny second meaning of my story. The commenters wrote this and that. I got personal feedback why the happy second married wiith a young Laosian woman exhusband (with 2 newer beautiful daughters) forgave to her exwife. However nobody recognized and DISCOVERED why Jim and Ann did succesful reconcilation and Burt and Melinda did not do, morever Burt denied Melinda's weak try without thinking ...........
In Lynn's story the wife did not understand this. She was lucky because her husband was older (and he gets used to the comfortable life) to hunt for a newer woman mate.
She told she did her affair for boring. I think the husband felt boring too and he omitted or REFUSED the neighbor woman, 4 flings in the business travels, work trainings, congresses, the just divorced earlier high school sweatheart, his beautiful woman collegues, woman bussiness partner, etc..........
I am sorry exactly........ forgave to his exwife. Rakd's story THE WIFE SAVED HER HUSBAND's LIFE. So the wife could wash her betrayal with her lifesave action, so the reconcilation is believable.
StangStar06 has a story, where the cheating wife SAVED HER HUSBAND LIFE WITH SELF-SACRIFICE and they did a reconcilation.
In this story wife did a lie (She lied she is sorry for her affair) and she hope her husband old and he does not want to hunt new woman........
sorry duna but the statute of limitations story sucked big time - the husband was a cuckie at the end. i am in the process of writing a triology on it but it will take a while and instead of lyn's way, which is great, i take a different turn. three different turns actually. but she does write well but she seems to gut the men but lets see about this one.hell the bitch stold 20 years of his adult life why should he give a rats ass about her.
@ Cantbuymay I read Radk's story 2 years ago. Perhaps I do not remember the plot well. I remember the wife saved her husband from the suicide........she rescued him from the lake.
In Stang's story the relatives used the main character's wife in incentous sex and the wife saved the husband's life (I forgot the title), when her husband was wanted to kill by her relative.
I remember for that 2 stories where the 2 Authors look for the limits of the reconcilation.
To rescue from the DEATH with selfsacrifice..................

I will read the 2nd chapter of Lynn's story, but I will be here on LW not so often, because I write my RAW stories. My 3 raw stories are in the hands of my editors. I am writting my 6th raw story I am ready with the first chapter and the one third of the second chapter. That story will be very provocative..........The title is "The Two Whimps". The 80% of the plot is in my head. (There will be a little humor in it) I hope my reader fellows will debate on it once.
But she needs to be punished. Punished in the worst way. By keeping her and not divorcing. By never touching her again, sleeping in different bedrooms. By never having any closeness nor speaking of love.
And then find someone to fuck for at least 3 1/2 years.

going to be honest here , i find reading the well written , highly emotional , thought provoking tales on infidelity / cuckold / cheating extremely dificult to read.
you can tell within a paragraph or two , if the pce is going to be good , if its not then i just skip it and go read another story , no vote , no comments , no feedback .
but the good storys , the well written ones ,the ones that get inside your head , the ones that make you lose track of time ,the ones that leave you feeling deep emotions.
those are special.
those i always try to comment on , & sometimes its not easy , sometimes i struggle.
i've found that my state of mind at the time of reading really has an impact on how i relate to & judge these types of tales .
i've come to the conclussion that
this genre should come with a "Public Health Warning"
do not read if you suffer from Depression .
do not read if you are still recovering from a bereavement
do not read if you are still recovering from an infidelity or failed relationship.
proly the best pce of advice is , if you read one well written story on this subject & it has an adverse affect on you .. if it completly overwhelms you , then STAY AWAY from the genre , this topic is not good for you . Or at least try to limit your exposure to it. .
i also realise that for many , reading of others pain & anguish , can offer catharsis.
and only each individual can judge for themselves when that point has been reached.
Definitely not a stroke story, LOL, Damn well done and I hope the others in the series are as well done as this.
Darn it, the author hit the nail on the head about how things work when someone cheats, or when someone thinks about it. Boredom has probably killed a lot of marriages in real life.
Very well done and made me think, I'll be coming back to this story in my head for a long time. It's too late to go on with the series ... or is it. Full marks.

Biologically speaking, women tend to seek quality in their mates because they can only breed a limited number of times, while men seek quantity of mating opportunities because they can literally impregnate hundreds of women. If a wife cheats, it's because she thinks her lover is potentially a better mate than her husband.
Like climbing a hill, cheating wives have to test each new step while keeping much of their weight on stable footing, which is why most wives who cheat don't just dump their husbands for the lovers. Similarly, most wives who are abused by their husbands don't flee because they perceive that the husbands provide stability. As soon as they are sure that their lovers provide better stability, they would jump ship.
The wife in the story didn't cheat because she was bored. She was looking for a better mate. She said that she found her lover exciting, but what exactly excites a woman? Yes the lover is interested in her, but so was the husband. Rather, she saw qualities in the lover that indicate that he was a better provider than the husband. She even said so herself, that she saw her lover as her husband when he was younger and more vibrant.
From the perspective of the cuckolded husband, the wife didn't betray him in the sense that she stuck a knife into his back, but she was looking out for herself. Though her husband was suitable, she thought that she could find a better mate. She wasn't sorry because she continually seeking. Just because she stopped her affair when she got caught (or when her lover died,) didn’t mean that she would stop seeking for a better provider. The husband should know that he on thin ice even though the wife's affair has ended. His wife's eyes are still wandering. As the saying goes, once a cheater, always a cheater.
What about wives who don't cheat? Biologically speaking, their eyes are wandering too, but they are more satisfied with their husbands and so they don't seek for better mates as hard as wives who do cheat. So the cheating does reflect on the wife's perception of the husband as a provider.
How the husband deals with a cheating should be a function of whether or not her evaluation of him is accurate. If her evaluation of him is correct, then dumping the wife for a new wife would likely yield him more of the same. If he is a loser as she thinks he is (relative to the lover of course), his best option is to tolerate her until she dumps him, or he should look ahead to a future as a bachelor. If he is not a loser as she thinks he is, he should dump her because she will not stop looking for someone better.
Since very few men would see themselves as inferiors when compared to other men, the obvious choice should be to proceed with the divorce.

@Anon Your are too mechanical. With time the good single mate raw material is less and less with the time and the married men reamain for the cheating wives to steal from other wives. The cheater wives may have single younger men who do not want 10-15 years older women for long time connection (some exceptions). Many cheater women want two haevens for themselves first haeven with their husbands and a second one with short time or longer time lover, but they would be the greatest hypocrats when the husband would have misstresses.............
I don't agree with the anonymous comment that the lover was necessarily better than the husband in the biological sense that he/she has implied. She said herself that he was younger -- only. This is a useful thing for the wife because it removes the comparison aspect, and she can say -- as she did -- that the young lover was just a replication of what the husband used to be like. So she gets the reminder of their early sex without any desire to dump husband.
But this is a very good analysis; I wonder whether based on an actual case.

This was nothing but a puff piece trying to give cheating an excuse.
Three fucking years she held the husband in such disrespect and humiliation (even if he did not realize it at the time, it was what she was doing) and who knows how long if he had not been killed.
And why? The author says it is because she was bored and that it is "typical"
