Although I don't like the main protagonist, I want to read more of the story just to see her leaving him (hopefully).

I think you have a good writing style, but, as many readers have suggested before, there is no romance in this story. It seems as though Valerie is being confined, brainwashed, and victimized by a man she loved. I know I'm only seeing the story so far, so perhaps you have a design in mind that will tie in some sort of romantic theme.

you're a good writer and I hope you continue this story just so she can kick Marcus into shape especially if you want to leave it in the romance category. It works as it is for Mind Control or BSDM but not romance. My favorite part so far was this chapter was when she stood up for herself and showed she still had a functionning brain.

I was sure the author had read the comments and decided to Marcus a little more tolerable after he did the big ring presentation and all. Well, what did I know! Remove this from "Romance" and place it under BDSM or some other related title and save the romantics from having to go through this. It's not just her spineless attitude that kills me it's also his way of justifying what is - as another reader pointed out - abusive behaviour. I'll keep reading, out of morbid fascination. Good writer, horrid characters and storyline though. Just like a cable movie!

She had no problem finding dates from 30 something guys usual divorced, hopefully having learnt a lot about her self and would be a lot wiser in the future. Marcus well he was slowed down for a while but then found another toy to play with. Life goes on. T

Finally she stood up for herself! I'm really doubting his feelings, if he really does love her, he has to be willing to compromise at least as half as she does. Is she in love with him or the idea of him?
