intriguing ...

all in all an enjoyable story. Romantic and sweet with an interesting twist. You almost lost me in the first paragraph, though. I am glad I stuck with it. I think it was the sentence structure that felt odd and it was a little hard to follow the 'conversation' you were having with the reader. Perhaps it is due partly to the format limitations of this site.
