Marcus is still not even tolerable and she is still quite silly.

Urgh.....can't believe I read this through, though I do watch some really stupid TV sometimes, I am sucker for bad plots!

Marcus absolutely sucks and she's terribly annoying. Maybe this was for a male audience, would explain the lack of emotional intelligence.

I'm very glad you like Valerie and Marcus. I liked them as characters when I wrote the story. I hope you continue to read The Lawyer and the Killer. Chapter ten is almost ready. I have another story right now titled Sorrel. I may change the titled but her name will be in it. There is very little actual sex in Sorrel, and that might turn some people off, but I really like the characters especially Sorrel. In some of my stories, particularly Cheryl in The Misogynist, Valerie, Carol in The Gold Digger, though that story is still not finished, and now Sorrel I have a tendency to fall in love with women I write about. Regarding Valerie and Marcus, I thought Marcus was a little shallow. I might go back there and see what happens if he got distracted by another woman. I wonder what Valerie would do. How would Marcus feel if he threw away the happiness he almost never had for some bimbo. I'm going to write a story where one of the women is really hateful. UGH!!!! so his baby sister drowned, his mom left, his father died, his ex wife cheated on him, what gives him the right to treat Valerie the way he did the whole damn time! there is NO excuse for treating anyone the way he treated her. And Valerie is too naive! Can't believe she married the asshole! Not once was he honest with her, why couldn't he tell her Rosalind was his sister? not even his damn staff told her who she was, all he did was degrade her, she's not a toy!

good, hearty fun. had some kinks and kinkiness, too. ms. val landed her fish even though he put up a tremendous fight. the knockout was scored in the "body art shop" . love to read a follow-up.

I really tried to like this story

But their attitudes and behavior just got in the way. He seemed cold and manipulative and she was SO naive that she was almost unlikable. And you droned on and on with details and descriptions that seemed unnecessary. Oh well, better luck next time.
