My pet peeve being those who can not modify their first statement in order to facilitate someone else's understanding you know those folks who keep repeating their statements in louder and louder tones hoping that you will learn their language in an instant!
The author deserves many complients for the subtle development and interaction of the two pronciple charcters he deploys. A very agreeable read, often amusing, and certainly entertaining.
