Rotten shit like that really happens. Bittersweet... mostly bitter.
An accurate portrayal of sad reality.
I very recently found a long lost love, after 46 yrs., who told me that she's unhappily married. She gave me her number and told me to call. She wasn't able to talk when I did and then, with no explanation, she blocked my number... like I was a piece of shit, instead of calling me to explain. With that act, she knocked herself off of the pedestal that I've had her on forever. I know me. If she kept my number, has second thoughts and calls me in the future, she'll regret what she did (the way she did it... i.e. spit in my face) because the doorway between us will never be open to her again.
