the way you've captured their language in this story is fucking excellent, and that's coming from a 19 year old black girl my damn self! So many times reading these stories with black characters I sit back and think "seriously?" people try so hard to convey what they think is black speech and they over compensate and leave a bunch of stupid crap nonsense, this is amazingly accurate, I felt like I was just talking with my friends or reading something about a friends life....it was so spot on! I'm sorry to go rambling on and on but I like to give praise where it is due and it is certainly due here, I could just reach through the screen and kiss you, you did such an excellent job! Sometimes I feel like Nicole and I are the same person! I speak just like her when I'm with my friends (18 btw) . It's ridiculous how well this dialogue is omg. Some authors write really formally when the scene is casual conversation and that really ruins the story for me. But this was great. Kudos to you and I'm glad you're back 👍

Lol i have never meet a man who cut women this much slack. It would require them to understand why women date/stay with assholes...and i cant even say i understand in this girls case. Even his best friend can be bothered to mention any of his redeeming qualities and is willing to throw away what i assume is years of friendship for some pussy.
Honestly anyone who could/would remorselessly do this to his best friend...seems like she's just jumping from one type of asshole to another.
