ok. How soon can you get the next part done?? I know better than to start a story before the other chapters are done.
Liked it a lot even tho it started out so sad. Great Job.
Great
I cant wait for the next chapter. Im already in love with Luke and Steve
WOW
I'm loving this story already. Can't wait for the next chapter. Please hurry. Thanks
Mmmm, delicious beginning
Looks like another great one and already liking all the characters, from the teen daughter to the gum-popping assistant.
Very Nice
Smooth. Rich. Kind of like turkish tobacco. Will it be just as naughty? Hmmm. I sure hope so. Write more and prove it...
I always know a story's good when i'm crying on the first page!!! Your characters are so vivid and I'm so heartbroken for poor stephen! Absolutely can't wait for the rest of the story!
You're Back!
I agree with Zolia_Lily by saying I know it's going to be good when I am crying within the first 2 minutes of reading your story. I loved Here To Stay and I am very glad to see you back.
I have to disagree with your new Bio comment though. I am one of those that have you in my list of authors that I check to see regularly if you have written anything new. I can hardly wait for the next chapter! I'm sure it will be a page turner!
Today must be my lucky day!
I'm new to Literotica, but I will definitely be back to read the rest of your story as well as any previous stories. Thank you for sharing!
Nice
Liked Here to Stay a lot better, though. The beginning of this one feels a little rushed, but then again, the story isn't really about the first love, is it? Anyway, I'm interested in Luke, so I'll be sure to check in every day to pick up the sequels. Kudos to you for your lack of ridiculous contrivances and melodramatic cheese. It's a rare and powerful gift.
Good start
I'm glad you come back with a new series^^. I'm been waiting for it since I checked your bio not long ago. Look forward to seeing what happens next^^
You're back!
I am so glad you're back, please don't wait too long to post more. This was a great beginning to what I'm sure will be a great story!
I really like this story!!! It"s well-written, interesting, has drama, humanity, pathos et al...I cried reading the part when Stephen falls ill and dies,( it resonated with me, as I have nursed people with all kinds of cancer and, yes, ANY cancer is bad news..but, but pancreatic cancer IS one of the worse ones-horrible!!!!) I am looking forward to the rest of your story-thanks!
great start
this is a great beginning and it does feel a little rushed...but i love your writing anyway and hope you post another soon
Happy! Happy! Joy! Joy!
Way to start a new series. Pulling at the emoitional strings from the giddyup. Was it rushed? Meh, a little. I would have liked to have known a little more about Adam before he died. Flashback, maybe? But the humor is wonderful ("Dad, come on. Boobs?"), and the characaters believeable. Can't wait to read more.
Happy!
I just wanted to read some good pieces I love and there is your new story. So happy you write again!
Damn It
You gave me chills. The situation you described in the first part of the chapter was truly reflective of what my whole family went through when my aunt was diagnosed with colon cancer eight years ago. I don't remember how long it took, but I do remember that she went pretty quick, too. Like in six or seven weeks.
A little hard for me to read.
This was a little hard for me to read because I'm recovering from Pancratic cancer. I was diagnoised at the age of 31 and underwent the Whipple surgery, 27 rounds of level 3 radiation, and 3 months of Gemzar chemo at the same time as the radiation (it's a very deadly combo). It was very hard all the way around for me and my family. My halfside took time off work, throughout all of it to look after and take care of our four kids (younger two, twins, are special needs). The way that you described what radiation and chemo does to the human body was dead on accurate. I went from 169 lbs to 93 lbs soaking wet in 2 1/2 months, and lost chunks of my knee length hair. The statistic for Pancratic cancer patients with the Whipple surgery scares the crap outta me. If you have 100 Pancratic cancer patients that all have had the Whipple surgery done, within 5 years only 3 of thsoe patients will still be alive. On Oct 6, 2011 I just hit my 3 year mark. Had a small party with my halfside and kids, but am still trying my damnist to make sure that I'm one of those 3 that survives it. Cancer is a hard thing all the way around no matter what type you may have been in contact with. I'll admit though that I sometimes get irritated that Pancratic Cancer is the most aggressively deadly and yet least funded for research of all the cancers. Mostly the public's attention is on Breast Cancer and the Susan G. Colman pink ribbon foundation. People don't realize that there are colored ribbons for each of the different cancers, not just pink. The ribbon for Pancratic Cancer is dark purple.
Anyways, I shall step off my soap box now. LOL
Please keep writing, your doing a great job. After all, you brought this confession/vent session outta me, your reader.
*gives big grin*
~EnchantedGreen~
I have lost so many friends and family members to cancer, this story was hard to read. I hope Steven gets a happy forever ending.
@ EnchantedGreen
Oh sweetie, i wish you many many more pain-free years.
Dharmie.
I doubt there are many people in the world who have not been affected by cancer, my mother was lucky, my Aunt wasn't and neither was my Grandfather, I agree I hope Enchanted Green that you make that milestone and have many more pain free years and I must congratulate you tml on a well written story now onto the next chapter I didn't know about the dark purple ribbon but I will look out for it from now on
awe man
i cried! i cant wait for the rest of the story
Contrasts
Why does this story feel more sunny and beautiful than your story about Emmet?
Maybe the low in this story is infinitely more tragic than blindness? The funny bits - laughter, sly humor, tolerance, and outrageousness - are strewn thru out this chapter.
O THIS LOOKS PROMISING AS LAST A GOOD PLOT LINE AND NOT JUST BANG BANG THANK YOU MAM GOOD STORY BIG J
Already loving it !
Your story so far is beautiful. Unlike the other stories where, two seconds in, they're already "making love", this makes for a great introduction. And if you would have made the part about Adam and Steven a little bit longer, I would have been shedding tears. Absolutely amazing. Can't wait to read the rest !
Sad Beginning
But looks like a happy ending, :)
That opening gutted me...
I dont know why it hit me so hard... I had to come back to it and Im crying again. You know you need to reevaluate your life when a story on literotica has you pondering death and life....fuck me. Poor Adam...so cheated.
