the author was able to get the emotions of the story across to the reader, quite well, judging from the responses. of all the trials rob had, the common denominator seems to be communication, or lack there of. I felt sorry for him at first, then realized, he never verified what he overheard, or even asked a question. he thought enough of her to consider living his life with her. why is it a wonder that he took her back? do people think that true love comes around that often? when your life is on the line, don't you try to verify the threat?

Diane lied to him their ENTIRE relationship, but he just took her word at face value in the final scene. One word describes him: Dumb-ass!
