I realize that, as with UK English, there may be differences between American spellings and Australian ones. But yours is so clearly just poor spelling that it distracts from the story. It could be a decent story if you used spell check or had someone edit it.

But run through it again. Read each word from the end to the front to catch misspelled ones; there are quite a few. That technique sounds weird, but it works. Spell checkers only catch plain misspelled words, not contextually misspelled ones.
