timing is confusing
About 2 years after Jim goes to the cave the spirit healer is kicked out and about a year later he dies. About 5 years later Iron Buffalo left. Thus, little John who would have been about 8 at the time, still spends his summers with the Iron Buffalo, now in Canada? Setting off with his horse, it would take a long time to reach Canada and get back...
