Great start and I'm of the mind that you need to make me care about Jason cause right now if a hole opened up and swallowed him, I wouldn't care, but this is your story and while you do need an editor, you got a great start. Look forward to the rest!

So far Jason sounds like a real douche bag. I hope she can have the strength to not settle for promises that he won't keep. Notice he said she'd caught him with 2 women meaning there had been others. I'd have liked to know more about the background of the couple and of them seperately. I almost have to wonder if he's abusive the way he grabs her wrist.
