I love suspense!
I love to be entertained & the suspense is great! Forget the other readers - they want instant gratification - like many in our society today!
but I do insist on a modicum of English grammar. I couldn't get past the tense switches. He "is" this and in the next sentence he "was" that? Take a composition course.

I have nothing against slow build but this is weak. She introduces Savannah as a "patient" then refers to her as a "friend". So which is it? Because if Savannah is really a patient she is putting herself in a bad spot career -wise....especially if she brigns her into their bedroom.
