do you have a reason for "morning", stikes me as reduntant; alright now I have to say something nice. This may look like, well overblown

Christmas comes to a sudden, horrible,

As a cat person

I can relate. But it's not only Christmas, my cat expects and demands it. Her majesty is not amused when the grub is a minute late. ;)

Having been owned by a cat in the past I can understand this although your cat can't be as fussy as some of mine where if everything is acceptable to eat! I'd lose the 'horrible' though it speaks of things far worse than you intended

I agree about the horrible and morning

But otherwise this is an excellent poem that captures the nature of cat nicely. I have mice and I have trained them with a vocal prompt when to expect their dinner. They react the same way.
