and I haven't figured out who the evil squatter is but I already fear him.
Just one thing..."my soul" is emphasized, 5 times, and in one strophe 3 times. I did that once with "my heart" and it was intentional, so now I wonder, knowing what a terrific poet you are, if I should be looking for a deeper meaning that what I have already gotten from this. I know I will be back to read it many times, it is an intriguing piece.

comment for Tess, it is a shame the visual arrangement wasn't quite aligned, that would have been cool, I'm not sure about the last five lines, if they are needed or arranged effectively, it looks like a reach, but not that kind.

Revisit, no not the squatter, I just hope you realize, just how much you mastered....A few years ago, I read a poem by Robert Penn Warren, forgot the title, I heard the footsteps. You do it here. Textbook case of what to do.
