Cool! I love it that he's cleaning house! Way to go, Jon! LOL.
Enjoyed this chapter. :)
Great Interplay
The interplay between Patrick and Jon is really kind of fascinating... Jon as human and Patrick as wolf, it's interesting to try and guess who will really come out as the alpha in their relationship. Just when I think it will definitely be Jon (because his character is set up as an "alpha male" from the outset) you throw something in to make me question whether or not Patrick is really as secondary, as submissive, as he seems. It would really be interesting to see a relationship of true equality between them, because of how challenging that would be to the structure of the pack.
Best chapter yet!
LOL... love what he's doing at work. Let the shakeup begin!
Growl
Ok I'm having fun with this too. This story line can go in so many different ways. I can't wait to read more and more!!! I get hard in anticipation just starting a chapter. Lets go all the way- and I love fir BOTH partners to give and take. Makes it more interesting than one always being the backdoor buddy.
I LOVE FUDGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That was soo cute!!!
I was almost drooling by the time I got past the first three chapters!!!
"I came in whistling and all the bitches took one sniff of me and look so confused."
"Wolves were the most dominant here with a few tigers, owls and bears thrown in."
Why "bitches", when there are tigers, owls and bears as well? I must assume you're using the word as humans use it, and I have to wonder: WHY? The story has so much promise, but Jon is still coming across as a misogynistic bastard - being misogynistic is no more acceptable than being homophobic or being "anti-lycan" (if such a thing existed in the real world) - why does your main character have to be misogynistic? It doesn't aid the story in any way - it just brings it down. Patrick is very much more likable, to the point where I'm feeling sorry for the poor guy, getting involved with Jon.
"All week I gathered info on everyone because I was going to shake this company and its stupid hierarchy up."
He's only 24, where does he get the authority to be shaking things up? Again, Jon is coming across as a bighead. You have no difficulty in writing Patrick as a likable, rounded character, why are you writing Jon as such a pathetic macho stereotype?
to Anon...
Why u don't stop ur bitchy ass whining...u gonna tell him how to write his story and how to potray his characters... I am a woman and in no way ofended by Jon use of the word "bitch" stop being so fucking uptight... We the fans love the story... I am pretty sure that u cannot even begin to write a story.. Shut the fuck up.. If u dnt like it .. Move on... Always fukin criticising and can't do no better
Thanks...but...
...I'm glad my fans like my stuff and are willing to stand up for me, but please, if you're going to defend me, don't use profanity. I do thank you for the kindness behind it.
And to the anonymous: The word bitch means a female canine. In a wolf or dog pack the females are all bitches. I kept the same term for a female werewolf in the pack. Also, the term has also become slang for any female and only in context does it take on the negative connotation.
If you were unaware of the first meaning, then I am glad I could offer some insight. I would hate for my readers to remain ignorant and narrow minded.
Lol ouch. That was at once informative, considerate and clever. And with the females, using the term 'bitches' would also be relative because most of the positions at this time seem to be occupied by wolves or canine breeds so the term is technically accurate. In addition, Jon doesn't immediately know exactly who is/isn't a wolf in this context so collectively referring to all the females around him as bitches isn't imprecise as he isn't able to immediately identify anyone to exclude from that collective. P.S. If you aren't comfortable with the slang term, get over it and don't read it. Just because you may not like it does not mean others feel the same way nor does it mean they don't. No one is forcing you to read it so if it bothers you then don't read it. Now on to the next chapter...
LOL
FB you have me cracking up!
Have had some extra time of late to enjoy the stories here. Until the last few days I'd not payed much attention to others comments until a couple in particular caught my attention due to being "ignorant and narrow minded". Some have even had my blood boiling. I love seeing an author stand up for and beside their work. I especially like the last sentence in your response: "I would hate for my readers to remain ignorant and narrow minded."
Great job.
