i'll say it again - your crisp imagery and subject matter will embrace just about everyone. this is a comfortable, comforting poem of the everyday, but these lines in particular stand out for me in a piece filled with good lines!

and summer sandals.

It would have been interesting, to have brought the lines to same length.This as is works, but that would have presented you with a different set of problems.

I've had those boots!

and what pleasure it is when they clean up and are straightened out and you have beautiful leather boots again. Would it sound odd if I said I feel like I've been in your closet with you? :D (btw a five!)

Shoes are a sore point with me (major foot problems confine me to the most butt ugly things) but this poem reminds me of my husband's favourite pair of boots, lovingly refered to as 'doggy boots'. Five from me.
