I like the rhyme,too, but I think it needs a few different word choices, maybe not open warfare or battle cause they're too direct. Well lol maybe you don't want to go vague, but I'd let the reader guess that's what you mean. But it's still a five. You can't really write a bad poem imo. :)

Interesting but

slight by your standards. The rhythm falters at times in S2. Enjoyable though:)

I liked the way S1 set up S2; and the cadence worked well until the last 2 lines for me.
